Whisper...there comes a season...where the scars can rest...within the wings of love....and the soul within settles in peace. Brown Eagle

Are you with shadows of the past...one who has hurt or punished yourself?

Ecc 3:7a...there is a...a time to tear and a time to mend. v. 8b...a time for war and a time for peace.
Whisper...could these possibly apply even within ones self?....
Ecc. 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Isa 61:1-4 Rom. 8:35-39 Psm. 37:23

An inspiration in writing this, came from a portion of Jenny's poem... a precious friend.

" Heal me with your gift of love,
and let the brightness of that light,
    Shine over us...
While the shadows fall behind." Jenny

Whisper......we can no longer see the shadows when we keep our eyes and our heart facing the "Son." (Col 2:17, James 1:17) It is only when we are facing away from the "Son" or turn our back on Christ, we then see shadows. In Christ and all to His glory, Brown Eagle

I was found abandoned at 9 months. An unwanted baby. But I know many others have also experienced rejection....weather it be in a spouse walking out, a friend who walked away, not fitting into a group, not accepted for who you are. Whatever the reason....rejection hurts....it leaves an open space in ones heart and very soul. The shadows left... whisper out for a need of love.

God, the very creator of the world and man... experienced rejection and sadly, still does today. (John 1:10,11) Isa. 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.

After Saint Vincents Orphanage... I was placed with a family and adopted at the age of six. I'm not the only one adopted....whisper....I was just blessed to be adopted twice. ***Eph. 5:1 He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will. John 14:18...I will not leave you as orphans: I will come to you. ***John 1:12,13

He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. (Heb 13:5) In Him we were chosen, having been predestined... (Eph 1:11) Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God...(Rom 8:38,39) The Lord will never forget us, we are engraved in the palm of His hands. (Isa 49:15,16)

Say it, claim it, and believe it...I am complete in Christ! I am wanted and loved by the very Creater Himself. Say it again...I am complete in Christ! I am wanted and loved by the very Creater Himself. Say it until you hear it, say it again until you believe it!

Whisper...the Lord is the only One that can fill that open space left from another. Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

Eph. 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Out back in my garden, sometimes in the spring...I'll move a large stone, and a sprouting daffodil bulb beneath it is bent, stunted, and colorless. But after a few hours of light...I notice it begins to straighten, and will eventually loose the effects of being held down. We too need "a li so qui lv di," a weight or a burden, at times lifted from our shoulders, so we too can grow and thrive in the light,...to reach our full potential in Christ. We have to show a willingness to stand on the "Rock" and not stay beneath it. Whisper.... at times the Lord may use us to move a large stone that is weakening, limiting, or holding down another. Our actions and words need to reflect our faith. (Gal 6:2 Eph. 5:8,9)

What we say...reaches far. Someone is listening for hope, someone is reaching for help - at some time.... it may be us. Black Hawk

Whisper....thank you for the sunlight through Christ this past week. Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

The Web of Life is well known among Natives.

    * We are all part of the web of life.

The Word with the Body of Christ...
*We as Christians are all part of the Body of Christ.
1 Cor 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and "each one" of you is a part of it.
Gal. 3:26-28 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Eph. 4:15,16
**We did not create the body...
Isa 45:12a It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it.
Acts 17:25 And He is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. Gen. 1:1 Isa. 44:24 Col 1:15-20
*** We as Christians, each and everyone of us, are a part of the body, with Christ being the head. (Col 1:18)

****Whatever we do to the body, we do to others, including ourselves.
1 Cor 12:26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

    Whisper...UNITY
Rom 15:5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus.
Eph. 4:3-6,15,16 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

    Luke 10:30-37 The Good Samaritan
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
What might be some birds attitudes and responses in the Parable...The Good Samaritan?
The parrots response probably would have been: laying down and pretending to be wounded also, just to see if it would work for them.
The woodpeckers response would be more then likely looking at his watch and deciding to get to his meeting. "I don't have time to get involved in this, I'm just too busy to waste my time helping. I have my routine to keep up with."
The peacocks would say, "thank goodness it's you and not me. Let someone else help and get dirty."
The canaries would respond probably with let someone else take care of him.
The ostrich would stick his head in the ground, saying, "It's none of my business, I won't get involved."
The night owls would say, "You got yourself there, get your own self out."
The buzzards and crows more then likely would just keep on kicking him while he was down, enjoying his misery..
The chickens response would be one sitting on the fence asking others to move out of the way. "I can't see everything going on."
I think you get my point. The eagles response I will share another time.
God does not look for ability but availability.
Gods living Word is just loaded with guidance, direction, support, and truth! We are able, as His children, to help another when they are placed on our path.
Gods word tells us, we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.(Eph. 2:10), all things are possible, (Matt19.26) His grace is sufficient, (2Cor.12:9) He will direct our steps, (Proverbs 3:6) He will supply all our needs, (Phil4:19) He will carry us, sustain us, rescue us. I'm sure this applies to us helping another. We are more then conquerors. (Romans 8:37) How can we fail or lose by reaching out or helping another? John 13:34,35 to love one another is an action! A couple of reminders for the owls and other birds...Luke 16:19-26, Matthew 25:31-46. Stepping up and reaching out! Two or more...Christ through you! God Bless you! Brown Eagle

The Broken Clay Pot: Brown Eagle

The angels one day decided to go shopping. (stay with me here) A clay pot for Christ would be a nice gift to give. In a store were many shelves of beautiful clay pots. Most were painted in rich colors and had special shapes from such earthly position and fortune. Smooth, bright shades, perfect shapes, no visible flaws. So filled their lives had been. Then, there pushed back on a distant shelf, was myself...a clay pot worn and broken in places. Life had not been easy...cracks in places from many trials, several chips from enduring hardships, colors which faded through seasons of storms, yet there was also surfaces showing through of love and laughter. The angels were viewing each pot and kept moving closer towards me...I was ashamed to be seen...and b4 you knew it...there they were in front of me. I thought they would just take a glance and move on. They all started whispering and smiling...my heart just dropped to the ground in shame. If that wasn't enough...one of the angels picked me up and held me up in the air. I couldn't figure it out...all the cracks, chips, and worn out places...they were all visible there on the shelf. As the angel did this...there was a loud gasp that filled the air....I looked around at the other angels who were staring at me with wide eyes....

Light flooded through the many broken places in my pot. The angel holding me told me that every time I gave my life over to Christ, it became His life, His hardships, and His strulggles. The angel continued explaining to me that each beam of light through this pot was where I had stepped aside and let Christ shine through, until there was more of Him then there was of me. The angels were pleased and knew that Christ would be also with this gift.

Whisper: The Lord wants all of us... He is made strong in our weaknesses, pain, and struggles. (2 Cor. 12:10) His Glory shines through... broken clay pots. Others will see His light, not our brokeness. It is the Lords love that holds and binds the broken pieces together. Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

Prayerfully this will find a wing to add feathers too!

Are you or a loved one going through a difficult or rough time? Eagles can sense and know of storms from afar off, even before they can see them. They are not afraid of the storms in life. Eagles don't think survive, but overcome. Eagles fly to the storms to lift themselves to higher places. In Habakkuk 3:16-19. Habakkuks feelings were not controlled by the storms around him, but by the faith in Gods ability to give him strength and to see him through. We need to take our eyes off of our difficulties and look to God. (Zech 4:6) God does not permit storms in our lives for the purpose of defeating us, but for the purpose of building and benefitting us. The storms of trials, tribulations, and adversities, use in life to strengthen our wings. Soar my friend, Soar. Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

    Eagle Commitment

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Eagles move from a process of courtship to commitment. The female eagle flies high into the sky, and the male eagle chases her. Suddenly she turns over on her back in midair and sticks her talons up. He moves over her and locks talons with her while they fall toward earth. He is totally committed. He would rather die then let her go. They are saying I love you, and I will never let you go. I am with you weather your rising or falling, through illness or health, through good days or rough ones, through mistakes, through trials, till death do us part. These eagles then mate for life.

Proverbs 30:18-19 The way of the eagle is too wonderful to understand. Are we as Christians willing to lock talons with others? The bible gives us numerous examples of others totally committed, locking talons. The story of Ruth locking talons with Naomi is a good example set for us. David and Jonathon is another great example. God with Noah and the good Samaritan with a stranger are a couple of other great examples of locking on.

But what about the most important pair. what about your commitment, your relationship with Christ?

We need to be asking ourselves:

Are my talons locked on with Christ?

Am I committed to Christ and to others, to hold on no matter what the outcome, no matter what the cost?

Would I be willing to lock on to a friend, or even a stranger weather they are rising or falling?

Would I be willing to die for another by not letting go?

    Overcoming

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Eagles are over comers. The baby eagle while still in the egg has a sharp little tooth on the end of its beak. It uses this tooth to repeatedly hit the shell until it finally cracks open. They need this experience of the struggle to help them prepare for life. This process, especially as a parent or close friend, at times requires tough love to keep our hands off others during this process. There are times in our lives that we need to peck away to get our break though. We don't grow without it. We need this private place for a breakthrough where we can possibly wrestle, possibly struggle, and definetily work it out with God.
Isaiah 41:10-16. verse 15 .God is turning us into new, sharp, threshing instruments, so we can confront the enemy and to be able to help others.

Tool for thought: Falling down doesn't make you a failure, staying down does.

Revelations 21:7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. Seven times in the book of Revelations there are inheritances for those who overcome, (2:7) the right to eat from the tree of life (2:11) will not be hurt by the second death (2:17) will receive some hidden manna, and also will receive a stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it (2:26 overcomes and does His will) will be given authority over the nations (3:5) will be dressed in white and their name will He never blot out from the book of life, but He will acknowledge their name before His father and His angels. (3:12) He will make a pillar in the temple of my God (3:21) I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

    The Robins....

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We have several pairs of robins that visit the gardens out back. (though only one pair at a time in the yard) Robins are our routine and in need for structure birds.... No change, things have to stay the same. They are very territorial, having very few social skills. Robins are not willing to take the time to be with nor wanting to get along with most of the other birds out back. Let's check the calendar, Sunday, one hour for church. Ok, that'll work, I have nothing else scheduled. But the church dinner on Monday, sorry, can't do it, I get my claws clipped that day every week. This behavior creates a lot of pressure and stress to keep up with this type of living.... Marigolds equal spacing equal rows, where's that tape measure?...scrubb four times b4 placing in dishwasher...here sit on the floor, it's more comfortable...I'll order the same as last week, and that's been the same for the past 20 years.... please scrubb the carrots until they reach half their size... two hours early, that's ok, that's on time. It can turn into literally a form of placing ones own self into bondage. It can also lead to becoming obsessive, and even at times compulsive. Lets not also forget to mention and think about the loved ones that have to dwell with these type of birds. Their obsessions, pressures, and stress are also placed upon them and sometimes they end up living life in chains also.

Tool for thought: Solomon knew and reflected on this throughout the Book of Ecclesiastes.
Ecclesiastes 4:8 There was a man all alone; he had neither son nor brother. There was no end to his toil, yet his eyes were not content with his wealth. For whom am I toiling he asked, and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment? This too is meaningless- a miserable business
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
And let us not forget about dear Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Could we even be so busy doing things for Jesus, that we're not spending any time with him?
    Gal 5:1, 22, 23 Gal. 6:7,8

Lord, my prayer lifted is for balance in our actions and deeds. I pray also that we do not let our service become self serving and self defeating. For it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. (Php 2:13) Christ in us, the hope of glory! Amen! Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

    The Wolves Within

    the storyteller

An old Grandfather, whose grandson came to him with anger at a schoolmate who had done him an injustice, said, "Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times."

He continued, "It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way."

"But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"

The Grandfather solemnly said, "The one I feed."

    Four Seasons of a Tree

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Don't judge a life by one difficult season.

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn to not judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no - it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed, he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but one season in the tree's life.

He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are - and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life - can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.

Pounding In and Pulling Out Nails

When my daughter was confronted with the fact that she had hurt
another child with a mean comment, she cried and wanted to apologize.
That was a good thing, but I wanted her to know an apology can't
    always make things better.
I told her the parable of Will, a nine-year-old whose father
abandoned his mom two years earlier. Will was angry, and he often
would lash out at others with hurtful words. He once told his mom, "I
    see why Dad left you!"
Unable to cope with his outbursts, she sent Will to spend the summer
    with his grandparents.
His grandfather's strategy to help Will learn self control every time
he said a mean thing was to make him go into the garage and pound a
two-inch-long nail into a 4x4 board. He couldn't return until the
nail was all the way in.
For a small boy, this was a major task. After about ten trips to the
garage, Will began to be more cautious about his words. Eventually,
he even apologized for all the bad things he'd said.
That's when his grandmother came in. She made him bring in the board
filled with nails and told him to pull them all out. This was even
harder than pounding them in. After a huge struggle, he did it.
His grandmother hugged him and said, "I appreciate your apology and,
of course, I forgive you because I love you. But I want you to know
an apology is like pulling out one of those nails. Look at the board.
The holes are still there. The board will never be the same. I know
your dad put a hole in you, but please don't put holes in other
    people. You`re better than that."

Bondage, Spiritual: Free As A Bird?

Recently we put up a hummingbird feeder with four feeding stations. Almost immediately it became popular with the hummingbirds that live in our area. Two, three, or even four birds would feed at one time. We refilled the feeder at least once a day. Suddenly the usage decreased to almost nothing. The feeder needed filling only about once a week.
The reason for the decreased usage soon became apparent. A male bird had taken over the feeder as his property. He is now the only hummingbird who uses our feeder. He feeds and then sits in a nearby tree, rising to attack any bird that approaches his feeder. Guard duty occupies his every waking hour. He is an effective guard. The only time another bird gets to use the feeder is when the self-appointed owner is momentarily gone to chase away an intruder.

We soon realized that the hummingbird was teaching us a valuable lesson. By choosing to assume ownership of the feeder, he is forfeiting his freedom. He is no longer free to come and go as he wished. He is tied to the work of guarding his feeder. He is possessed by his possession. His freedom of action is as circumscribed as if he were in a cage. He is caged by a situation he has created. -- W. L. Barnes

    Eagles Eyes Viewing the Parade

Eagles have special eyes. The eaglets eyes develop with maturity. The eagles eyes are eight times stronger then our eyes. They can see a rabbit from 2 miles away. The eagle has two sets of eyelids: one with a lens for looking right into the sun and the other to hunt with. The higher he flies, the larger will be his perspective. Job 39:29 From there he seeks out his food; his eyes detect it from afar.

Whisper...the higher he flies, the larger his perspective....

There have been times years back, while visiting with Christ, I'd ask Him, "Why?" Why to mainly my childhood events and circumstances. The Lord finally answered one day a couple of years ago at a funeral I had attended of a dear loved one Mrs. Berres. After the funeral I was approached by two priests, good friends of hers. I was introduced to them. I shared with them just how much she had meant to me. Then they shared with me the impact of my past, had on her. Due to what I'd been through, she dedicated her life to fight for the rights of emotional, physical, and sexually abused children both within and outside of the church...including a couple of priests who now are serving time. On the ride home that day...I was just left amazed....Lord I understood.

    The Parade...
Life many times is like watching a parade that is going by through a peep-hole in the fence. You cannot see what has already passed by nor what is ahead. At times for us, it is so hard to understand the why's...why to pain, struggles, loneliness, loss, hardships, circumstances... But now and then...I truly believe we are blessed with an answer or reasons, all for His glory and purpose. Christ will lift us up and set us on His shoulders for a bit, to see a larger perspective of the parade. That happened for me that day at the funeral. Can you imagine that...a funeral of a dear loved one became part of my parade. Just awesome!
Even Moses...got a glimpse from Mount Nebo in Deut. 34:4b..."I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it."

Deut. 29:29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the word of this law. In Christs Glory and in memory of Mrs. Berres friendship, Brown Eagle

A few years ago, as I was driving under the stars through the Smokey Mountains, my journey led me into fog. In an unfamiliar area, no where to pull over, I was alone on a single curvey stretch of highway. The higher I traveled the mountain ...the denser the fog had become. My path eventually could barely be seen....yet I knew it was in front of me. Slowly, yet now afraid, I pressed on up the deep incline. I knew that it would eventually clear once I started my descent....but I first had to get to the top of the mountain and over....before that could occur. The stars and moon had gone no where, I just couldn't see them. The Lord was my compass that night. Whisper...pressing on in faith and prayer....strengthens the bridge between fear and courage.

As long as the fog surrounds you, be still; (Psm. 46:10)
be still until the "Son" radiates through and the fog begins to disappear (1 John:1:7)
...as "He" surely will. (Matt. 11:28-30)

The baby eagle is said to be the hardest of all birds to teach how to fly. Between 10-12 weeks, the eaglets are strong enough to fly. Instinct alone is not enough for these babies to fly, they must be taught. As the mother eagle is teaching her eaglets to fly, God teaches us to believe His Word and use our faith.
Remember when you first learned how to ride a bike? It's the same for an eaglet learning to fly, it takes a combination of balance and coordination, trial and error.
First things first, mom removes their soft, comfortable padding so that now the thorns and sticks make the nest a lot less comfortable for them. Next she stirs the nest by fluttering her wings. She does this until the nest is pretty much torn up. (Deut 32:11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them on its pinions.) Next she spreads her wings and takes them to high places, and then just drops them. Just before they hit the earth she catches them, flies high once again and then drops them again. Their wings are being developed. This process continues until they get the idea and they learn how to fly.

Once you learn to fly, it is not a matter of weather you go North, East, South, or West, but it is a way upwards. Reach to the heights for your inheritance. Avoid looking forward in fear or backwards in resentment... but keep looking upward, Godward. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will counsel you and watch over you.

The eagle does not soar under the physical power of his body or wings, but under the warm thermal currents of the winds which causes it to look effortless. He will sit and wait on the rock, until the winds are warm enough, and then either with a jump or simply just leaning into the winds, he rises. Purely human strength, that is flapping, tends to go downward toward decay and death. How high have you seen a chicken fly? We need to stop laboring in our own strength and start resting in His. Use the warm thermal currents of the Holy Spirit to lift you to high places.
Deuteronomy 33: 26,27a There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in His majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Col 3:1,2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Psalm 46:10 Whisper...Soar my friend, Soar. In Christ, Brown Eagle

    The Walnut

This is for those who might be having a rough day at work, mourning a loss, facing a town bully, medical issues, falling short, bills growing while moneys stretched out all ready, didn't do quite as good as we would have wanted too, chore lists growing......

In Colossians 3 verse 3 God tells us, "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."

One way I love to explain this verse is that you take a black Missouri walnut. I'm sure we have all had our experiences with them. On the outside is the soft shell, when you crack and peel it, they leave the black stain on your fingers for days. Next you have the hard shell to crack, and then you find the nut which is inside. It's like that for us. I know that when things are coming at me, it goes through the soft shell, God first, and then the hard shell, Christ, before it ever gets to me, the one inside. I know that I'm protected within two layers and whatever is going to happen, that it's going to have to go through the first two layers, God and Christ first. I know that I'm going to be ok, I'm not alone, and that I have a place for comfort and peace to rest. God is in complete control and in charge of everything that occurs in my life. What an awesome postion and place to rest! Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

"A feather to add to ones wings."

Do not hurt your neighbor, for it is not him you wrong, but yourself...The Shawnee.

God tells each of us to love thy neighbor. But what if we say...how...I can't...not them...look what they do...look what they have done to me...(Matthew 5:43-48) The Word remind us about only loving those who love us, greeting only our brothers...

So I ask..."How?" The Lord whispered to me the answer...that I now pass on to you...."Lord, please love them through me and grow that love from within." Your sister in Christ, Brown Eagle

Are there any who are devout lovers of God?
Let them enjoy this beautiful bright festival!
Are there any who are grateful servants?
Let them rejoice and enter into the joy of their Lord!
Are there any weary with fasting?
Let them now receive their wages!
    If any have toiled from the first hour, let them receive their due reward;
If any have come after the third hour, let him with gratitude join in the Feast!
And he that arrived after the sixth hour, let him not doubt; for he too shall sustain no loss.
And if any delayed until the ninth hour, let him not hesitate; but let him come too.
And he who arrived only at the eleventh hour, let him not be afraid by reason of his delay.
For the Lord is gracious and receives the last even as the first. He gives rest to him that comes at the eleventh hour, as well as to him that toiled from the first.

To this one He gives, and upon another He bestows. He accepts the works as He greets the endeavor. The deed He honors and the intention He commends.

Let us all enter into the joy of the Lord!
    First and last alike receive your reward;
    rich and poor, rejoice together!
Sober and slothful, celebrate the day!
You that have kept the fast, and you that have not,
rejoice today for the Table is richly laden!
Feast royally on it, the calf is a fatted one.
Let no one go away hungry.
Partake, all, of the cup of faith. Enjoy all the riches of His goodness!

Let no one grieve at his poverty,
for the universal kingdom has been revealed.
    Let no one mourn that he has fallen again and again;
for forgiveness has risen from the grave.
    Let no one fear death,
for the Death of our Savior has set us free.
He has destroyed it by enduring it. He destroyed Hell when He descended into it. He put it into an uproar even as it tasted of His flesh. Isaiah foretold this when he said, " You, O Hell, have been troubled by encountering Him below."
Hell was in an uproar because it was done away with. It was in an uproar because it is mocked. It was in an uproar, for it is destroyed. It is in an uproar, for it is annihilated. It is in an uproar, for it is now made captive.
Hell took a body, and discovered God.
It took earth, and encountered Heaven.
It took what it saw, and was overcome by what it did not see.

O death, where is thy sting? O Hell, where is thy victory? Christ is Risen, and you, o death, are annihilated!
Christ is Risen, and the evil ones are cast down!
Christ is Risen, and the angels rejoice! Christ is Risen, and life is liberated!
    Christ is Risen, and the tomb is emptied of its dead;
for Christ having risen from the dead,
is become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
To Him be Glory and Power forever and ever. Amen!
