I am a child of GOD that love to meet people that Love the Lord and know GOD for who he is. A true Friend ^J^ I have retired from the Air Lines, now i am trying to finish my race the Lord has for me to do. Now i am working with Inmates at the jail ^J^ If God touch my heart to witness to them, I will do GOD'S WILL ^j^ .It is not about ME... It is about the LORD ^j^
3rd John 2
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow
Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed,
'Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side.'
After hearing him pray that prayer many times,
someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.
He answered, 'Well sir, you see, it's like this... I got an old barn out back.
It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather;
it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.
It's still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit.
So, I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on it s leaning side so it wouldn't fall.
Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn.
I've been around a long time.
I've withstood a lot of life's storms.
I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life.
I've withstood a lot of hard times, and I'm still standing too.
But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time.
So, I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side,
'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning at times.
Sometimes we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness,
leaning toward hatred, leaning toward cussing,
leaning toward a lot of things that we shouldn't. So we need to pray,
'Lord, prop us up on our leaning sid e',
so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord.''
Stare at this barn for a second and you will see
Who will help us stand straight and tall again.
As children, we were aware of our contact with GOD and the ANGELS.
We can always reopen our connection with HEAVEN
the moment we let go of our fears......
One Door To Heaven
The truly good news is that this same loving and just God gives everyone on earth a second chance to escape punishment. God sent His only Son, Jesus, to earth more than 2,000 years ago. That life Jesus lived on earth—33 years—allowed Him to experience the same pain and loneliness you have felt. The ultimate purpose for Jesus’ life on earth, however, was so that He could give it up.
By dying on the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the punishment necessary to pardon your sins. Even though Jesus was without sin and perfect like His Father, He became a man by living on earth.
Jesus—both God and man—lived a perfect life, dying willingly on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, was raised from the dead, and now lives in heaven. An innocent man took the blame for our sinfulness. This act of God is described in John 3:16-17 like this: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
Jesus’ death on the cross erased our sins and removed the one barrier separating us from a relationship with Him. His sacrifice of life makes it possible for us to be saved from the punishment of our own sinfulness. Romans 5:8 states: "God demonstrates His own love toward us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
This is how a loving and just God dealt with the problem of our sin. He provided the one and only way to heaven, through belief and trust in God's Son, Jesus, as our Lord and Savior. In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." You must receive Him in order to live in heaven after you die. There is no exception.
