When your enemies come to shed your blood

When your body screams out in pain

When you indulge in reminiscences, thinking about what you are missing

When you want love

When you are tired of the darkness and want to walk in the light

When your spirit cries out and your body moans in a language that you don't understand

When you want someone to hold your hand and discuss life's plan

When you need love

When you lay down to sleep

If your soul is what you want to keep out of harm's way

When all seems lost, your body starts to tremble, your mind is racing, your blood pressure is high and you start to cry

By the way I am called the Comforter, The Holy Spirit
I am part of the Alpha and the Omega
I am the one that Jesus sent when he shed his blood for you, gave up his life for you and rose on the third day for you, ripping the grip of death from your throat.

As I slowly walk through life
My spirit fights against my flesh
Some days my spirit wins
Other days it ends in a draw
That is when I ask my God and Savior if we can sit down and talk
I can remember once in late November right before December Jesus said to me
My son I never promise you that life would be easy
While you are on this earth you will always be tempted
This I want you to remember
The seasons will change for on this earth nothing stays the same
You need to remember that I your Lord and Savior will never leave you to fight alone
Remember that you are a family member
I will not let you burn like timber
My son oh my son you don't have to run
Wait for when I come and watch the evil one run!
Until that day be a light and walk upright in my light
Oh my Lord Jesus Your words hit me just right
I will bathe in your holy light
Thank you Jesus for Your insight
Rest with me tonight
For the devil is in for a fight
My sword has been sharpened, which is your word my God!
