Thank you for putting my father picture on my site. Tell him he could have open his eyes or something. I just getting back home from down my mother house. So hopefully I can response to your comments we they are posted.
Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like a large amount when you put it in the offering basket, but such a small amount when you go shopping?
Isn't it strange that you can't a lot of words to say when you are prayiny but you have no trouble coming up with gossip?
Isn't it strange how 2 hours seems like to long when you are at church, but short when you are watching t.v.?
Isn't ti strange how everyone wants front row seats when you go to a concert or show, but don't make a fuss about seating on the back row at church?
Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event at church 2 to 3 weeks in advance so we can put it on our agenda, but we can ajust our calendar for other events at the last minute?
Isn't it strange how difficult it is for some to learn a few scriptures to share with a lost sinner, but how easy it is to understand and repeat gossip?
Isn't it strange how we can so easily beleive all the bad news on t.v. and the newspapers, but we can't beleive the word of God?
Isn't it strange how we can send jokes in emails and they are forwarded right away, but anything about God we have to stop and think about offending someone before we send it on?
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell
phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency.
This is something to make you go...hmm...where is my Bible? Oh, and one
more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible
being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. And no dropped
calls!
Makes you stop and think "where are my priorities?"
