Fasting: Another Way To Love
A different approach to fasting: Fasts have a tendency to be oriented toward things like giving up food or television; but there are many other creative ways we can welcome Jesus healing touch.
Here are suggestions you may want to consider-Fast from: (1) Anger and hatred (2) Judging others
(3) Discouragement (4) Complaining (5) Resentment or Bitterness (6) Spending too much money.
Please pass it on to others....

<TRUE FRIENDSHIP DOESN'T DEPEND ON HOW MANY TIMES WE SPEND TOGETHER OR, HOW HAPPY WE ARE TOGETHER, IT'S THE TIME WHEN WE DON'T SEE EACH OTHER, AND YET KEEP ON BELEIVING THAT OUR FRIENDSHIP WILL STAY FOREVER...
No matter how shy you feel, I tell my kids, you can always say thank you. But sometimes it's hard to speak our thanks.
"You shouldn't have," we say instead. "You did too much."
Or, "Please. I don't deserve something so extravagant."
Or we nod our heads brusquely and turn away, embarrassed to acknowledge what we've received.
What is it that gets in our way of accepting a gift? Is it our sense of unworthiness? Or at the opposite end of the spectrum, is it our pride? Either way, we're usually looking only at ourselves. Pride and embarrassment aren't so very different from each other; they're both self-conscious.
Thankfulness turns us outward; however, it takes the focus off ourselves. It allows us to reach out and accept what is given to us, simply, honestly, humbly.
And in the end, the truest friendships are built on that simple, honest humility.
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. MATTHEW 22: 39
FOLLOW WITH REVERENT STEPS THE GREAT EXAMPLE OF HIM WHOSE HOLY WORK WAS DOING GOOD: SO SHALL THE WIDE EARTH SEEM OUR FATHER'S TEMPLE, EACH LOVING LIFE A PSALM OF GRATITUDE.
WE SHOW OUR LOVE FOR GOD WHEN WE SHARE HIS LOVE WITH OTHERS.
