THE MASTERS TOUCH
I looked and saw a broken pot sitting on the potter’s bench one day. The broken pieces lying right beside it. I looked, and saw the potter watching over it, I saw the love deep within his eyes; the longing of his heart was to put it back together. Then at last two hands went up in sweet surrender. The potter gently took that vessel up into his hands, he poured in oil and gently rubbed it into the broken pieces. I watched in awe as the potter molded it back together, but now it was stronger than before and it was being molded into a vessel of honor.
Then I pondered on the bridegroom coming for his bride, the church his bride surrended. My thoughts were of the bridegroom and all his love that bought surrender and I got one word, fruit. Yes the fruit of the spirit in his life, love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness and kindness. I thought of how he was ever there to listen, to encourage. How he always believes in me and always desires the best for me. Yes, he’s full of mercy, self control and loves the unlovable, always friends. Yes a church in full surrender would bring healing to the nation
I thought the task would be too great, but then I thought of the potter gently, quietly waiting for each vessel to surrender to his will, to allow him to heal, to restore and bring forth fruit for the healing of the nation. My thoughts were then upon the tree of life beside the river of life, bearing fruit for the healing of the nations. What a church it would be living in the river, filled and bearing fruit for the healing of the nations – Love, forgiveness, reconciliation, truth and peace. A church surrended to the bridegroom, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Each vessel surrended till they overflowed touching all around bringing healing to the nations
