As a child, I remember playing tug of war. The game would go back and forth, until one side would eventually be pulled over the line.

At times, life can feel like this for an individual. Two teams: on one side you have the Natural verses the other side, the Spiritual. You have the world with many pulling, trying to bring the one who is spiritual over the line to their side. The team could be one of family, employees, neighbors, friends, or even a group of church members. Back and forth one goes closer each round to that line that seperates the two. Whisper...if you want to win this game spiritually, SET DOWN THE ROPE. Psm62:2 Mt16:24

Mt16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." SET DOWN THE ROPE.

Lord, I am learning that not all finish lines are worth crossing over. I am learning that there are certain games that have no winners. The words I will listen to: is not pull, but take up and follow. Precious Lord: and the only finish line that I need to cross over, is the one with You standing there, calling for me.
