Is your spiritual height limited? Not seeing much growth lately? Are things weighing you down?
Proverbs 12:18...Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Vices Gal. 5:19-21 Virtues Gal. 5:22, 23
When another makes a negative comment, judgement, statement, opionion... so many times we either believe it or take it to heart. Unkind words spoken hurt, weigh us down, wound the soul, and leave us in pain with years of echos. Psm. 64:3
If we were able to look at it through Spiritual eyes....weigh it on the scale of Christs love and Gal. 5:22 the fruit of the Spirit...(including even discipline and correction)...it should carry much weight. If it was said to us in anger, jelousy, pride...it should carry little weight... but for many of us its weight is opposite.
In prayer and with the Lords guidance and direction...we need to pull the feathers (hurtful words) that weigh us down and discard them. We need to replace them with the Lords words of truth and His words that bring life.
Lord, my prayer lifted is that You mend our wings and carry each of us to new Spiritual heights in You. Ex. 19:4 Psm. 18:33 Isa. 61:1-3 Matt. 11:28,29
Soar my friend Soar. In Christ and to His glory, Brown Eagle
1 Th 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. Romans 12:8a, Acts 15:32, Heb. 10:25, Heb.3:13.
Native American Circle of Friends
The Native Legend says that at the end of the evening, friends would gather around a bonfire and share their hearts and speak of the good qualitites of each other. They reflected upon times shared, as the embers faded, their friendship was said to be sealed anew, bringing them closer together.
A tool for the Christian toolbelt for encouragement and edifying others.
When I am asked to speak at groups: be it either churches, schools, scouts, bible studies, retirement communities...I always enjoy closing with the friendship circle.
This usurally works best when groups are divided into 10-20 people in each. I have everyone form a circle, join hands, and explain to them the friendship circle. Sometimes I will light a candle in the middle of our circle to represent Christs presense and He is the center of our friendships, the head of the body of Christ.
I then have each one take their turn and look at the person to their left and say to them: ...you are special and a good friend to me because...I am blessed to have you as my friend because...you mean a lot to me because..." and give their reason[s].
Once we are finished going around the circle...I then ask for someone to please close in prayer and to lift all of these blessings and
praises... because they all belong to Christ and to His glory. When finsished the candle then is blown out. The responses during and after this have been amazing and awesome! The next time you are in a group or even at home around the table for supper...you might just suggest or offer this as a closing. Being able to witness
the responses from others receiving kind words has been for me just as much of a blessing as hearing the kind words from ones heart. In Christ, Brown Eagle
Today's Prayer
Dear God, Society is so curious about "close encounters of a third kind" and aliens from outer space and all the unexplainable occurrences that happen from time to time. While all that may be interesting, I desire encounters of a heavenly kind. Lord, just give me more of You. Fill me with Your presence and your peace. Refresh my spirit as I bask in Your presence. Replenish my soul with Your Word. Lift me up and keep me going forward for You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Fostering the Right Environment
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman
05-24-2008
"Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herd" (Prov 27:23).
Janice was a high level executive who required excellence and exceptional performance from those under her leadership. She was the general manager of a credit card unit when five of her 2,000 employees were found to have deliberately hidden $24 million in losses that she was accountable for. Her "no failure" policy brought great pressure upon her employees and she failed to recognize how this leadership style affected others. It discouraged employees from bringing problems to her. She was an intense perfectionist whom others saw as intimidating and confrontational. She was extremely opinionated. Her subordinates were fearful of reporting any bad news so they lied about it.
Do you feel like what you accomplish is never quite good enough? Do projects have to be just right? Do you feel you must give more than 100 percent on everything you do or else you will be mediocre or even a failure?
Perfectionism refers to a set of self-defeating thoughts and behaviors aimed at reaching excessively high unrealistic goals. Perfectionism is often mistakenly seen in our society as desirable or even necessary for success. However, studies show that perfectionist attitudes actually interfere with success. The desire to be perfect can both rob you of a sense of personal satisfaction and cause you and others to fail to achieve as much as people who have more realistic strivings. Janice lost her job over this situation but was later offered another chance to salvage one of the company's smaller businesses. She realized that she needed to be much more understanding of people around her. She learned from her experience and succeeded in her next assignment with the company. The solution to becoming a transparent person is to get feedback from those around us. This is the only way we will avoid perfectionism. We must ask for the feedback and be willing to respond to input.
What would others say about your management style? Do you foster dialogue and encourage others to bring issues to your attention? Are you willing to work with your team to solve problems together?
My request is for my son, Frank, who is disabled and has no income. He is either fighting Lupus or Chron's or both. He goes in for testing soon for the GI stuff to see what they find for Chrohn's. He also has a degenerative neck and the pain in his upper back is tremendous. He also had surgery on his left hand, the doctor thought it was carpal tunnel. After surgery, the doctor told him that it is not carpal tunnel; it's something else, and he is not sure what. My son looses his ability to use his hands at times.
Today a grown, 31 year-old, 6ft 5in football guy, is crying his heart out. He can't stand the pain anymore. My brother committed suicide when he finally reached the end of his rope, and I know that my son won't do that, but, I don't want him to have to deal with stuff that makes him think it's a good idea. The last thing he deals with, and you aren't going to believe this, but, it is true...he has agoraphobia. It runs in my family, my uncle, my aunt, even myself has dealt with this...I won't be able to go on if anything happens to my son. I know I won't live. The pain will kill me. He can't work, and we are subsisting on my disability check. That doesn't go far.We want to move. So, that is another prayer request. We need out of here, but, we don't know where to go.
Please put us on your church's prayer chain. We desire that Jesus be the one we turn to and hear this request. My son and my self are both Christians and we do love Jesus. And we pray and read the Word.
My request is for strength to handle this stuff, healing for him, good doctors to assist in that and a new place to move to. He also needs a diagnosis as to what is wrong, so that his attorney can address the social security disability judge soon. Boy, this is enough, isn't it?
Please stay in touch with me

Release...give...let go.

Going through a new season of growing pains... sometimes it is hard for us to see the growth and change. One can only sense the soils restrictions... limits set by earthly weight and even by ones own self. Breaking through the soil...may be painful at times. The outcome from a new emergence we long to see.
We need to rest in the soil under the Son, because it is God who is watching and waiting for us to bloosom. It is the Lords purposes and plans that are preparing us. We need to "rest" on Php 1:6 that He (not I) who began a good work...(He not I) will carry it on....to completion.
