God Forgive Me When I Whine

Today, upon a bus,
I saw a girl with golden hair.
and wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she gave a smile.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
And then I knew, he couldn't hear.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.

I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

Love
When the power of love
Replaces the love of power
Man will have a new name: God.

Can and shall
Make the world perfect.

Do teach me only one thing:

The way You love me.

When my peace – heart dreams,
My bliss life sings.

Yesterday I was clever.
That is why I wanted to change the world.

That is why I am changing myself

Yesterday’s world wants you to enjoy its surrendering breath. Today’s world wants you to enjoy its surrendered breath.
Tomorrow’s world wants you to enjoy its fulfilling breath.

Do not complain. Who complains? The blind beggar in you. When you complain, you dance in the mire of ignorance. When you do not complain, all conditions of the world are at your feet, and God gives you a new name: aspiration. Aspiration is the supreme wealth in the world of light and delight.

Do you want never to be poor? Then be happy.
Do you want ever to be great? Then be happy.

You will get what you like most.
You will get what you like best.

God sees in you His aspiring creation. His transforming realization, His illumining revelation, and His fulfilling manifestation.

God sees in you another God. God sees you as another God. God sees you and Him as one.

The Battle Inside Us...
One evening an old man told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil – It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good – It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old man simply replied, “The one you feed.”

O Lord, who hast mercy upon all, take away from me my sins,

and mercifully kindle in me the fire of thy Holy Spirit.

Take away from me the heart of stone,

and give me a heart of flesh,

a heart to love and adore thee,

a heart to delight in thee,

to follow and to enjoy thee,

for Christ’s sake.

A Prayer of Gratitude for God’s Blessings

O Lord and Vivifier,
Your grace has achieved for us
all that You had spoken and promised.
Grant us access to the place of Your peace.
For You are our Vivifier,
You are our Consoler,
You are our life Remedy,
You are our Standard of Victory.

Blessed are we, O Lord,
because we have known You!

Blessed are we,
because we have believed in You!

Blessed are we,
because we bear Your wounds
and the sign of Your Blood on our contenances!

Blessed are we,
because You are our great hope!

Blessed are we.



I Took Your Place

One day, a man went to visit a church. He arrived early, parked his car, and got out. Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, “I always park there. You took my place!”

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat, and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, ”That’s my seat! You took my place!” The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, “That’s where I always sit. You took my place!” The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still said nothing.

Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, “What happened to you?”

The visitor replied,  “I took your place.”

Prayer for Peace in Troubled Times

Dear Lord, in these troubled times make your presence known to all the peoples around the world so that they may see peace as the only way to salvation. Replace the anger and violence in our hearts with joy and tranquility and help us to seek the good in everyone. Cause us all to realize that without you we can do nothing that will bring us peace and joy. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. Amen.

Lord, in every need let us come to You with humble trust saying, “Jesus, help us.”
In all our doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help us.
In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help us.
In the failure of our plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles, and sorrows, Jesus, help us.
When others fail us and Your grace alone can assist us, help us.
When we throw our self on Your tender love as a Father and Savior, Jesus, help us.
When our heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good come from our efforts, Jesus, help us.
When we feel impatient and our cross irritates us, Jesus, help us.
When we are ill and our head and hands cannot work and we are lonely, Jesus, help us.
Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, help us and never forsake us.
