PRAYING THE SCRIPTURES

"For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil." - 1 Peter 3:12

Heavenly Father, we are are grateful that when you see us you do not see "us", but you see our Savior. Thank you for Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for the sins of all human beings. Thank you for blessing us with the indwelling Holy Spirit. As we are obedient to His gentle voice, you give us the grace to be better than we really are. For apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. But, we are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us! We need your grace and we need your Spirit to live a life that pleases you, for our righteousness is as filthy rags before you. Bless us to go forth and to bless others. We yield to your Spirit and thank you for your Word, which truly is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Enable us to live this life in your power: to love what you love; to forgive as you forgive, and to be your ambassadors on this earth as you bring people into our lives to bless. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
