Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer

VERSE:

Psalm 77 (King James Version)

I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah. Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak. I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times. I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search. Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more? Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

COMMENTARY:

The psalmist's troubles and temptation. Days of trouble must be days of Prayer; when God seems to have withdrawn from us, we must seek Him till we find Him. In the day of his trouble the psalmist did not seek for the diversion of business or amusement, but He sought God, and His favor and grace. Those that are under trouble of mind, must Pray it away. He pored upon the trouble; the methods that should have relieved him did but increase his grief. When he remembered God, it was only the Divine justice and wrath. His spirit was overwhelmed, and sank under the load. But let not the remembrance of the comforts we have lost, make us unthankful for those that are left. Particularly he called to remembrance the comforts with which he supported himself in former sorrows. Here is the language of a sorrowful, deserted soul, walking in darkness; a common case even among those that fear the Lord, Isa 50:10. Nothing wounds and pierces like the thought of God's being angry. God's own people, in a cloudy and dark day, may be tempted to make wrong conclusions about their Spiritual state, and that of God's kingdom in the world. But we must not give way to such fears. Let faith answer them from the Scripture. The troubled fountain will work itself clear again; and the recollection of former times of joyful experience often raises a hope, tending to relief. Doubts and fears proceed from the want and weakness of faith. Despondency and distrust under affliction, are too often the infirmities of believers, and, as such, are to be thought upon by us with sorrow and shame. When, unbelief is working in us, we must thus suppress its risings. The remembrance of the works of God, will be a powerful remedy against distrust of His promise and goodness; for He is God, and changes not. God's way is in the sanctuary. We are sure that God is Holy in all His works. God's ways are like the deep waters, which cannot be fathomed; like the way of a ship, which cannot be tracked. God brought Israel out of Egypt. This was typical of the great redemption to be wrought out in the fulness of time, both by price and power. If we have harboured doubtful thoughts, we should, without delay, turn our minds to meditate on that God, who spared not His own Son, but delivered him up for us all, that with Him, He might freely give us all things.

Precious Lord God our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, we love You and want Your will to be done in our life. Father Thank You for waking us up this morning. Thank You that no harm or danger came anywhere near our doors. Thank You that You kept watch over us as we slept. Most Holy Father, we know that rather thru word, or thought or action that we have sinned, and we confess, and Thank You, that the Blood That You Shad On The Cross, Was Payment For All Of Our Sins. Thank You Lord And Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus, The Only Name By Which Any Man Can Be Saved! Thank You Lord. You have so richly lavished your grace upon me, please receive back my adoration, praise, thanks, and concerns. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth, I will also praise You with a harp, even Your truth, O my God; to You I will sing praises with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; and my soul, which You have redeemed, SHOUT joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing, Know that the LORD Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture, Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle, Bless the LORD, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word! Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will, B less the LORD, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul!, PRAISE the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever, From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised. The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus, The Only Name That Is Worthy To Be Praised. Most loving Father our Lord Christ Jesus, we ask Your Blessing on the men and women that are fighting wars, and in harms way, we ask that You keep them in Your loving care, and touch the hearts of those that are making decisions, concerning all of our lives, make them realize that these men and women are somebody's sons and daughters. Father please Bless the children of the world, the sick, the unemployed, the men and women who are fighting to keep their homes, their children off drugs, their marriages. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You. Father God, we are not afraid of any man, for we know that; Greater is You who is in us, the he that is in this world. We know that; But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one, Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?, The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever, The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?, They will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid, But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries, But You, O Lord, are on high forever. For, behold, Your enemies, O Lord, for, behold, Your enemies will perish; all who do iniquity will be scattered, No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD, The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me, To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD, When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries, Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?, If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you, Hate evil, you who love the LORD, who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked, But I will deliver you on that day,' declares the LORD, and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. 'For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,' declares the LORD, But the LORD your God you shall fear; and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies, Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Thank You Most Holy and Precious God our Beloved Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives.

Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.

Amen.
