Our Prayer For Monday December 14, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 82 (King James Version)
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the aflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
COMMENTARY:
Here we see an exhortation to judges. Magistrates are the mighty in authority for the public good. Magistrates are the ministers of God's providence, for keeping up order and peace, and particularly in punishing evil-doers, and protecting those that do well. Good princes and good judges, who mean well, are under Divine direction; and bad ones, who mean ill, are under Divine restraint. The authority of God is to be submitted to, in those governors whom his providence places over us. But when justice is turned from what is right, no good can be expected. The evil actions of public persons are public mischiefs. It is hard for men to have honor put upon them, and not to be proud of it. But all the rulers of the earth shall die, and all their honor shall be laid in the dust. God governs the world. There is a righteous God to whom we may go, and on whom we may depend. This also has respect to the Kingdom of the Messiah. Considering the state of affairs in the world, we have need to Pray that the Lord Christ Jesus would speedily rule over all nations, in truth, righteousness, and peace.
PRAYER:
O'Holy and Loving Mighty Father God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. we Your children come before into Your Holy presence, this afternoon, in Prayer and praise. Thank You Heavenly Father that You have seen fit to allow us another day. Thank You that You saw that no harm or danger came unto our doors. Thank You Lord that we woke this day with new determination to do Your Holy will. Thank You Father that if any of us have sinned, we confess, and are truly sorry that we have sinned against You. And Father we Thank You that, the blood You shad on that old rugged cross, was payment in full, not only for our sins, but for the sins of the world. Thank You Lord God our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, for giving us the victory over sin and death. Thank You, that You have told us that while we were yet sinners You died for us. Thank You that those who have gone astray, we proclaim to them this day, what You have taught us, for You said; "For if you return to the LORD, your brothers and your sons will find compassion before those who led them captive and will return to this land. For the LORD your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him, Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon, I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins, If we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin, I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake". O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus, The Only Name By Which Any Man Can Be Saved. Thank You Holy Father our Beloved Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You, Blessed Holy Spirit. we shall praise You Lord at all times, Your praise shall continually be in our mouths; I will give to the LORD the thanks due to His righteousness, and sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High, I will tell of Your name to my brothers and sisters; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You, Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, My Help and My God, Praise Him for his mighty deeds; praise Him according to His surpassing greatness!, Why do you pass judgment on your brother or sister? Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give praise to God, In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to His counsel and will, 12 so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of His glory, Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise, In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials, 7 so that the genuineness of your faith--being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed, And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight 10 to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, 11 having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God. Thank You. Holy Father God, we ask this day that You Bless, each and every man and woman that are fighting in wars all around the world. we ask that You keep then in Your loving care, both them and their families, You know our concern for these matters, for You have taught us that we were to study war no more. Lord we know that this battle is Yours so we Pray Your Blessing on each and everyone of our military men and women. Thank You Father God, Thank You Beloved Lord Christ Jesus. we Pray this day that Father, You will touch the minds and hearts of the leader of this world. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You Heavenly Father. we Pray for the man and woman that are seeking employment, need health care, housing, and for each and every child in the world, Precious Lord please take their hand and lead them on and let them stand, give them wisdom, and the courage to do what You would have them do, to bring about a change in their lives, all to Your Glory. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, That as we Pray, we know that You are answering our Prayers, for You told us; "When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence, And the humble person He will save. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man, So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word, But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are doing and will continue to do what we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ, Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, 'Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.' Then the eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah, Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand, I cry aloud with my voice to the Lord; I make supplication with my voice to the Lord. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, You knew my path. In the way where I walk They have hidden a trap for me. Look to the right and see; For there is no one who regards me; There is no escape for me; no one cares for my soul. I cried out to You, O Lord; I said, "You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living. Give heed to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are too strong for me. Bring my soul out of prison, so that I may give thanks to Your name; The righteous will surround me, For You will deal bountifully with me." O' Thank You Most Holy and Precious God our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Precious Lord Father God, none of us Your children are scared of what anyone can do to us, for we know that You are a God, that sits high and looks low, and can see every hand that comes against us Your children, and You have promised us that; Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates. Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup. For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face, But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed, Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me, Do not let your heart be troubled believe in God, believe also in Me, Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful, Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised, For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus, Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary, Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the Lord, For we know Him who said, 'VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.' And again, 'THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE, Each one of us will give an account of himself to God, The one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more, The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways, For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints". O' what a wonderful God we serve. Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal, Thank You Father God, Thank You. For we know that You have us all in Your loving care, for we are Your children and we love You, and know that You love us. Thank You Holy Father our God, our Beloved Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives. Thank You, Lord God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. For You Have Done Great Things!.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
