Our Prayer For Tuesday December 15, 2009
Psalm 83 (King James Version)
Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah. Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as almunna: Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
COMMENTARY:
Here we see the designs of the enemies of Israel. Sometimes God seems not to be concerned at the unjust treatment of His people. But then we may call upon Him, as the psalmist here. All wicked people are God's enemies, especially wicked persecutors. The Lord's people are His hidden one; the world knows them not. He takes them under His special protection. Do the enemies of the Church act with one consent to destroy it, and shall not the friends of the Church be united? Wicked men wish that there might be no religion among mankind. They would gladly see all its restraints shaken off, and all that preach, profess, or practise it, cut off. This they would bring to pass if it were in their power. The enemies of God's Church have always been many: this magnifies the power of the Lord in preserving to Himself a Church in the world. All who oppose the Kingdom of Christ may here read their doom. God is the same still that ever He was; the same to His people, and the same against His and their enemies. God would make their enemies like a wheel; unsettled in all their counsels and resolves. Not only let them be driven away as stubble, but burnt as stubble. And this will be the end of wicked men. Let them be made to fear thy name, and perhaps that will bring them to seek thy name. We should desire no confusion to our enemies and persecutors but what may forward their conversion. The stormy tempest of Divine vengeance will overtake them, unless they repent and seek the pardoning mercy of their offended Lord. God's triumphs over His enemies, clearly prove that he is, according to His name JEHOVAH, an almighty Being, who has all power and perfection in Himself. May we fear His wrath, and yield ourselves to be His willing servants. And let us seek deliverance by the destruction of our fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.
PRAYER:
O' Almighty Lord God, our Father in Heaven. we come before You this day in Prayer and praise. Thank You Heavenly Father for waking us up this morning, and that You have allowed no harm or danger to come unto our doors. we Thank You that Your eyes are on the sparrow, and we can be assured that You watches over us. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus our God. Father search our hearts and minds, and if there is anything there, that is not of You, we are asking You to remove it. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Blessed Father God, we confess that some of us have sinned, and we ask Your forgiveness. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, that You have told us; If we admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive sending them away and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You, The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son in Whom we have our Redemption through His blood. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus, The Only Name By Which Any Man Can Be Saved. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You Father God Thank You. we shall praise the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in our mouths. Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people, Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works, Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD, Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually, Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, He is the LORD our God, his judgments are in all the earth, Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation, Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations, For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods, For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens, Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place, Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength, Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness, Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved, Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth, O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father our Beloved Savior, we Pray today that You will Bless Your men and women who are fighting wars, keep them Lord and make them to know that You will never leave or forsake any of them. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus our God, Thank You. we Pray also this day for every man and women and child that stands in need of anything, health, jobs, housing, the need to know that someone cares. Father God, please touch their hearts, and assure them that; My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me, In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us, If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you, In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full, All things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive, Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight, He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him, For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature the old things passed away; behold, new things have come, God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed, Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Thanks Be Unto God Who Has Given Us The Victory. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus. Father God, we are not afraid of any man, for we know what You have told us, and we believed it when You said; "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And you shall tread down the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you, For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, You have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints." Thank You Most Precious Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, our God, who is Lord of our lives. we love You and will stand firm on Your Holy Word. Thank You Father, Thank You.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
