Father, I thank You that You hear my prayer, for I come in the name of Jesus and on the authority of Your Word. I come boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help on behalf of __________ and __________. I take my place — standing in the gap — against the devil and his demons until the salvation of God is manifested in their lives. Father, I forgive them for their sins and stand firm, knowing that the Holy Spirit will convict and convince them of sin, righteousness and judgment.
The wife, __________, is sane and sober-minded, temperate and disciplined. She loves her husband and their children, and she confines herself to them. She is self-controlled, chaste, good-natured and kindhearted, adapting and subordinating herself to her husband, that the Word of God may not be exposed to reproach — blasphemed or discredited.
In a similar way, her husband, __________, is self-restrained and prudent, taking life seriously. He drinks waters out of his own cistern [of pure marriage relationship] and fresh running waters out of his own well — lest his offspring be dispersed abroad as waterbrooks in the street. He confines himself to his own wife, and their children will be for them alone and not the children of strangers with them. His fountain of human life is blessed with the rewards of fidelity, and he rejoices with the wife of his youth. He lets his wife be to him as the loving hind and pleasant doe [tender, gentle, attractive]. He lets her bosom satisfy him at all times; and he is transported with delight in her love.
The husband submits himself to Christ, Who is the Head of the man. The husband is the head of his own wife, and they are subject one to the other out of reverence for Christ.
Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayer on behalf of this family. I know that You watch over Your Word to perform it, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
