Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word;be instant in season;reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and
doctrine. You probably have read this scripture many times, but have you enforced what it
actually means to those in ministry? These are words to guide us in how to perform as
workers in the vineyard. Yes, it must be learned,it does not just automatically come as a way of being like breathing. Preach the word tell us to do as Christ did. Be ready to
spread the good news whether or not it is in man's timing. Our concern is to deliver the
messages whitin God's timing. It tells us that whenever this is we are to be ready. Reprove
means to point out errors. We want to be accurate in word and deed. Rebuke means to warn people or steer them not to be disobedient to the will of God in His word. We warn
them aboutthe effects of being disobedient or lazy about the work in thr vineyard. Exhort
means to encourage and show worth to efforts made in service of the Lord. with GREAT
patience means to be very patient when teaching the word. Explain and give examples if needed to get others to a place of understanding. The one wnois taught the word will then
be able to share the experience. When you set the right example of christian-living, you
then help to persuade others in the right direction. This can be done in several ways;
teaching, conduct, purpose and drive, faithfulness, patience in your nature, loving of
others as well as family, showing perserverance, and testimony. Some do not realise how
powerful a testimony can be. Don't look at it as telling your business, look at it as a learning experience that when shared can help others grow or have hope that they too
can be an overcomer. Be conscientious about living for Christ, jumpon opportunities
that will help you to encourage and inspire other in hope. Teach them sound doctrine and be watchful for temptations of satan to detour or distract. Watch as well as pray is
told us in the word. Watch over souls that are put to your charge. Make full proof of
Jesus ministry. Take advantage of the opportunity while it exists, for the word says the time will come when men will not endure Sound Doctrine. What does this mean to the
preachers? Strike while the iron is hot. Be ready to do your job. Help believers to continue to be readers, hearers and doers of His Holy Word. Consistency, earnestness,
as well as sound advice, seasoned with gentleness will get the job done. Forge on and
Preach Preachers Preach!
