Pr27:19 As water reflect a face, so a man's heart reflects the man. Mt6:21
Beauty and ugliness are everywhere. At times they can be found even in some of the same things. To some a wide open prairie is empty and colorless - but to others it is uncluttered simplicity. Physical appeal is high on some lists, but "nu tso se dv na", which is cherokee comfort....which lasts longer. Whatever is in our hearts is in our sight. To love something or someone makes us see the beauty of it - not the wrong. It is to our advantage to be gentle in our observations - to see and cultivate the best in who we are and in those around us. 1Pe3:3,4 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothers. V4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 1Sam16:7
Numbers 13:26-33 Gods promised lands to the Israelites, was rich, fertile, bountiful, and this land would be theirs. When the spies went over, they gave plenty of good reasons for entering the land....but they could not stop their focus on the negatives (natural).....the giants. When they were faced with a tough decision, the (natural) negatives caused them to lose sight of the (spiritual) positives. Instead of listening to God, their opinions became facts. Much energy from this was spent complaining and moving backwards...instead of stepping out in faith and pressing forward.
1Sam16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. Psm141:8 1Cor4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Heb12:2a Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Whisper: Lord we pray that our hearts see You Lord, in the beauty of Your creation, in others and in ourselves. Lord, we also pray that our reflection others see, is more and more of You... YSisterIC, Brown Eagle....
