Psm27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid?
It is an old wise tale that ostriches hide their heads in the sand. Ostriches are the fastest 2 legged animals. They can run at 45 miles per hour. Flight or fight: since they can not fly, they run. They live in constant fear. Fear of commitment, change, making decisions, rejection, fear of trying due to possibly failing, fear of being ones self. They spend much time looking to the ground or hiding their head, and not really ever joining the others.
Fear is a dark shadow that engulfs us and can eventually imprison us within ourselves. We need to release the stronghold of fear and replace it with Christ as our stronghold.
Walking fear out with your Faith: Mk5:36 Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, Don't be afraid; just believe." Instead of being afraid in a situation we need to turn from it and look to Christ as our source of all hope and promise. Psm56:3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. Heb13:6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Whisper: Fear limits ones heights. Instead of tucking or running in fear, in Christ, we need to spread our wings and soar. I have been reminded many times if God brings me to it, He will bring me through it. Php4:13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Replacing fear with Gods strength:real change you can count on! YSIC Brown Eagle
