A common refrain in churches is "God is good--all the time!" In trying times and in peaceful ones, God is good. Solomon lived an attitude of gratitude. When the temple had been completed, he dedicated it to God and offered prayers of thanksgiving. Solomon knew that the accomplishment was not his but the gracious work of God. We often take our blessings for granted. We think we should get what we work for and that we deserve life's advantages. Our toil is futile unless we dedicate our work and ourselves to God. All good things come from God. God simply asks that we appreciate and share our blessings. Whether big or small, give thanks for it all.
