We are not Ashamed of the Gospel

As believers of the Word, we must truly set an example in this world. It is our design

to love and reverance the Lord. For the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:16,17,"For we are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to Salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek, For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, the Just shall live by Faith."

*Let's take a closer look at what this says to us:

We- 1st person, plural pronoun. Clusivity (includes all in a group)

are- verb meaning actively participating. To continue, to belong, to take place.

not- used to express negation, denial, refusal or prohibition.

shame-when one has lost esteem. One who is not proud. One who carries regret.

gospel- good news (1 Cor. 15:1-4) , an account of the life of Jesus Christ and including

            the New Testament

*To break it down into understanding it says:

As a group of believers, we actively belong to the thinking that, we refuse to be shame

and have no regrets for believing the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Not only have

we heard the Good News , we believe it and we will Obey the Gospel. We will spread

the Good News as the disciples of Christ and encourage others to do so. This is the

life of a Christian (follower of Christ).

Man is called upon to respond to the message, and to live accordingly. Hear, believe,

and walk there in. The Bible tells us to:

HEAR (Acts 2:14     Romans 10:17)

BELIEVE (Hebrews 11:6     John 3:36) REPENT (Acts 17:30      Acts 2:38) CONFESS (Romans 10:10     Acts 8:37) BE BAPTIZED (Acts 2:38     1Peter 3:21) LIVE WORTHY (Philippians 1:27)

The Bible also makes us painfully aware of the presence of sin in life. For every action

we must know that there is a consequence for it , whether good or bad. The realization

of this fact is the beginning of understanding of Jesus Christ  message of the Gospel:

#1- fact of sin  ( Romans 3:10, 23 and James 4:17)

#2- penalty of sin ( Romans 5:12 and Romans 6:23)

#3- penalty must be paid ( Hebrews 9:27 and Hebrews 2:2-3 )

#4- Christ paid the price ( Romans 5:8 and 1 Peter 2:24 )

#5- Salvation is free gift ( Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:24, Titus 3:5 )

#6- You must accept ( Rev. 3:20, John 1:12, John 6:37 )

Truly, we are not ashamed of the Gospel and it's influence in our lives. We shall have

ever-lasting life.
