Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
1 John 2:16-17 (NIV)
For everything in the world – the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does – comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
The world wants us to think that we’re not the best and brightest if we don’t have the latest car, the obese crib, or the arm candy (male or female). As far as the eye can see, there are plenty of things to catch our eyes, but is it good for us to have? Money disappears as quickly as it comes, and then what? The Word of God says that it’s better to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. That is a clue to remind us that nothing lasts forever, and only what we do for Christ will last.
