Isaiah 55:7

Isaiah 55:7 (NIV)

Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts.  Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

There was a gospel song from the 1980’s that is a call for the sinner to come into a right relationship with God, and abandon their old life.  Phillip Nicholas said in one of his songs that a man came to him and said, “Preacher, let me tell you something.  I’m going to hell.  And I and my friends are going to have a party, and we’ll have a good time.”  This is a warning to those who may think that this is the case.  There absolutely is no partying in hell, and you will not have a good time.  There is no better time than the present to enter into a relationship with God.  Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.  You can either do it now, of your own accord, and find out what it really means to have eternal life, to live in this world to live again in Heaven, in the presence of God, or to be condemned to an eternity in hell with the devil and his angels, who were thrown out of Heaven due to pride.  Why not come to Him today?  Come to Him right now, and live!
