Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer

Job 33:8-9

Job 33: 8-9 (NIV)

“But you have said in my hearing – I heard the very words – ‘I am pure and without sin; I am clean and free from guilt.’”

Somehow, someway, someone has spoken those words, when they feel that they are a morally upstanding and law abiding citizen. They don’t subscribe to the evils of the world, drinking, drugs, illicit sex and so on. However, when no one is around you, and you are alone with your thoughts, are they pure and without sin? Yes, my brother and sister, the Word of God reminds us that all, not some, but ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Just the fact that we may not do any of those things doesn’t make us exempt from sin. There was only one Person who ever walked the face of this planet and was sinless, and He was crucified. Unless you think that you’re Jesus, Jr., you, along with the rest of us, has to continually pray that God would forgive us for our wayward thoughts and deeds, whether they be sins of omission or commission.
