Matthew 5:11-12
Matthew 5:11-12 (NIV)
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
It’s sad to say, but we are a generation of people who can’t take anything. We are ready to fight if someone steps on our shoes, or looks at us the wrong way. We would never have been able to live in biblical times, because if we couldn’t stand what we go through in this day and time, we wouldn’t be able to be crucified upside down, sawed in half, beheaded and many of the other cruelties that the disciples and apostles went through for the name of Christ. Father, help us!
