Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Proverbs 5:15
Proverbs 5:15 (NIV)
Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well.
What I find interesting with this scripture is that when we pray to God for a spouse, and He blesses us with the man or woman of our dreams, when something goes wrong, the enemy is right there, making the grass look greener on the other side. If we take to heart what the marriage vows say, and take them seriously, we won’t be so quick to check out some other good looking man or woman, and wonder what it would be like to be with them. Don’t we realize that the Creator of the universe thought enough about us to create someone to share the rest of our lives with? They may not be perfect. We don’t have it all together, either, but with the help of the Lord, we can live happily ever after in Him.
