Psalms 17:8
Psalms 17:8 (NRSV)
Guard me as the apple of the eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.
How intimately You care for me, Omnipotent Father! I look at how big the world is and at how many things around me there are that can harm me. And yet, as fragile as I am, I can move among life's dangers guarded by Your watchfulness and sheltered by Your protective love for me. I praise You for Your tenderness, for Your vigilance, and for making me Your own child.
