Romans 1:17
Romans 1:17: For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
God expects our lives to reflect holiness and righteousness. Not a “holier than thou” attitude that the world tries to point out. Neither that of a self-righteous stance that some may take, because the Word reminds us that all our righteousness is as filthy rags before the Lord. We must look to Him who made us in order to cleanse our lives, read and study the Word of God to see His many examples of righteous people, how they lived, as well as instructions for holy living, and pray for guidance and faith enough to please Him.
