But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.
When we were children, we may have been disciplined for disobeying our parents. We didn’t like the punishment, but we endured it, because deep down in our hearts, we knew that we deserved it. A lot of times, we were embarrassed and humiliated through no fault of our own, but due to various circumstances. It may have been extremely painful, but we cried out to God, and we survived it, in order that we may share our story with others, and give them hope of salvation and love from the Father.
