But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If we’re going to approach God for anything, especially out of desperation, we have to come before Him with reverence, not a skeptical mindset. The Lord will bless you if you’re serious about seeking Him out.
