Psalms 25:15
Psalms 25:15 (NRSV)
My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
My human instincts tell me to keep my eyes on those around me and to look out for what they might be doing or saying that could harm me. But Your way, Lord, is counterintuitive; You call me to keep my eyes on You, for You promise to take care of me, keeping me safe. So I have a choice today: I can try to take care of myself, which is a stressful and often unsuccessful means of seeking safety, or I can trust You and enjoy a day of peace in Your presence. I'm so thankful that I can choose You today.
