All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
People have asked me why it appears that I’m happy all the time. While I tend to be generally happy, there is a big difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is temporal, and changes with circumstances. Joy is eternal, and can keep a smile on your face, when all you want to do is lie on the floor and cry uncontrollably. Only God can give you that type of feeling that will hold you up in the worst possible conditions. That’s the time when you lean on Him the most, and He gives you the peace that passes all understanding.
