Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
PRAYER SUPPORT FOR THE CHURCH IN AFRICA
Western missionaries risked their lives in bringing the gospel to Africa. Although they came from the nations of the colonial masters, they were not part of the colonial governments. In most cases, their message was opposed by the colonial governments. While as a Church we give thanks to God for the growth of the Church in Africa, we must not fail to see the events on the continent which is posing a great threat to the expansion of the church and even its very existence. There is a grand plan to destroy the Church in Africa, and this is already happening in countries that have heavy Christian population, and are traditionally peaceful nations.
The Enemy (SATAN) has used and is still using tribal, ethnic, and regional differences to cause civil wars and unrest, but the game plan is to use these differences in East Africa, Central Africa, and West Africa to attack and destroy the Church in Africa.
Jesus Christ is the only Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the only true God, the only LORD, the only Saviour. NO COMPROMISE, despite our quest for peace and unity.
Jesus said in John 16:33 [NET], "I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage – I have conquered the world.”
Yes, we shall trouble... but the message of the Cross of Christ shall continue to be proclaimed in the power of the Holy Spirit. And our responsibility is to pray as the Apostle Paul admonished in Ephesians 6:19-20; Col. 4:3-4; I Thess. 5:25
(Eph 6:19 [NET])
Pray for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speak – that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel,
(Eph 6:20 [NET])
for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.
(Col 4:3 [NET])
At the same time pray for us too, that God may open a door for the message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
(Col 4:4 [NET])
Pray that I may make it known as I should.
(1Thess 5:25 [NET])
Brothers and sisters, pray for us too.
Do you not think that steadfast prayers can change the situation? Personally, I believe through prayers, the enemies of the Cross shall not trample the Church of Christ all over Africa.
