Father, Thank you for the closing of another day! For blessing us, keeping us from hurt and harm. Lord I pray for peace tonight! Peace over the minds of your people so that we may rest in You! Peace over every situation God that will cause us worry and doubt! Father we release Your peace in the atmosphere tonight! Over our minds, bodies and spirits! Father in heaven, today I release every care, concern, offense and disappointment to You. I choose to keep the peace that You have given me. I look forward to today knowing that You are with me and leading me in victory in Jesus’ name! and O Heavenly Father I cover all of my sisters and brothers all over the entire world with this humble prayer and asking that you manifest their heart desires to each and everyone of them and me too according to your will, and O Heavenly Father if we did anything that was displeasing to you on yesterday I repent with all my heart for me and them for we thank you for being a Father who forgive and give us second chances, O Heavenly Father through the name of your son,Jesus who is our big brother and high priest amen

God, we come to You as humbly as we know how. We confess our sins, those known and unknown. Lord you know we am not perfect and we fall short every day of our life, but I want to take time out to say Thank You for Your mercy. Iran’s Supreme Court orders retrial for Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, the Christian sentenced to death by Iran, is to be given a retrial. The decision was announced by Iran’s Supreme Court, which says there are unspecified concerns about the original investigation.

There was an international outcry earlier this year when it was revealed that Youcef Nadarkhani was to be executed unless he recanted his Christian faith. The Iranian authorities have struggled to get their story straight, saying at various times that he has been convicted of apostasy, sex crimes, rape or crimes against the state.

The case has now reportedly reached the highest levels of the Iranian government, and some observers believe this is a sign that international pressure over the case has begun to pay off. It remains to be seen how the retrial is handled, but Youcef Nadarkhani’s supporters claim that there is now a chance that he could be spared death and possibly even freed

Update on Pastor Yousel Nadarkhani

With Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani facing execution any day now unless he recants his faith, Congress has launched a major bipartisan effort to free him.

Lawmakers are urging Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to "use all the powers at your disposal" for "swift engagement with the international community to advocate for his release."

The effort is being led by Reps. Joe Pitts, R-Pa., and Heath Shuler D-N.C. 

"We must not stand by while the Iranian Regime executes a man who has committed no crime," lawmakers said in a joint letter sent to Clinton.

As of late Saturday, the letter had been signed by at least 39 members of Congress.

The American Center for Law & Justice is calling on people to join Congress in urgin Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to put pressure on Iran to release Pastor Youcef:

• Sign the petition to Secretary Clinton
• Contact your congressmen to sign on to the Pitts/Shuler letter.

The American Center for Law and Justice has also sent a letter to the United Nations calling for pressure on Iran to immediately and unconditionally release Pastor Youcef. Read the letter.

What This Means for Iran

The news comes amidst reports that the Iranian regime is increasing pressure on Nadarkhani's case, even making up charges to justify their actions.

At a court appearance last week, Nadarkhani refused to deny his Christian beliefs.

"Repent means to return. What should I return to? To the blasphemy that I had before my faith in Christ?" he said.

Religious rights advocates are continuing to speak out for Pastor Nadarkhani.

CBN News spoke with Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Land said the United States has an important role to play in this case.

"I think that part of American exceptionalism is that we have an obligation and a responsibility to be the friend of freedom, to be the friend of freedom of conscience," Land said.

"To help those who don't have it achieve it, and to speak up for those who can't speak up for themselves, such as this Iranian pastor," he said.
