Deuteronomy 7:9 (KJV)

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

God isn’t like a person, who may love you one day then hate you the next. He doesn’t disappoint us with promises He can’t keep. God is true and everyone else is a liar. He will be with us when everyone else goes away.
