John 3:3-7

John 3:3-7 (NIV)

In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked.  “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”  Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’”

The only way to be in the presence of God at the end of our lives is to accept His gift of salvation, through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He died on the cross for all, which doesn’t exclude anything.  You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived on this earth for 30 years before beginning His ministry, which lasted 3 years, and then, according to Old Testament prophecy, was crucified, buried, and on the third day, rose again.  All we have to do is confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord of all, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, and then we can enter the family of God.  This is not a fairy tale or a bedtime story, regardless of what the world tries to tell you.  This is an important fact that seals the fate of an eternity in heaven, resting in the arms of God, or an eternity in a burning hell, with the devil and his angels.  The choice is up to us.
