Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Matthew 5:44-45
Matthew 5:44-45 (KJV)
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
This is a hard word. In the natural, when someone does us wrong, we are hurt, and want to retaliate immediately. We most certainly don’t think about praying for them. We want God to wipe them out. However, if we do what the Word of God tells us to, not only will they be blessed, and brought to a closer knowledge of who God is through us, but we will be used by Him to reach them.
