Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
James 5:7-8 (NIV)
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
If you don’t believe that our Savior is soon to crack the sky, look at the signs of the times. This past winter, in New England, where we usually have pretty severe weather, the most snow we had was a nor’easter in October that dumped two feet of snow in the western part of Massachusetts. It was sunny and 60 degrees for quite a few days. We had almost no rain in April, when we’re supposed to get “May flowers”, if you remember the nursery school rhyme. Yet, it’s rained for more than half of May. Scientists attribute it to global warming and the el nino effect. I say that Jesus is getting ready to come back soon. Get right, church, and let’s go home.
