Welcome to a new year and a new season of God's goodness!
Dear Family,

Victoria and I love this time of the year because it’s filled with excitement and anticipation of what’s to come. No matter what this past year has brought you, we want to assure you that God wants to do new and incredible things in your life.

The power to see change in your life can be found in the words you speak. You have the power to set the destiny for your life...by what comes out of your mouth.

The bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that life and death are found in the words we speak. No one gets to decide the words that come out of your mouth except for you.

You have complete control over what you choose to say.

Your words have the power to set things in motion, good or bad. They’re like little seeds that you plant in life.

When your words are filled with faith, hope and promise then you’ll enjoy the fruit of them. But if they’re filled with discouragement, fear and other negative attitudes you won’t enjoy your life.

Here at the beginning of a new year, let me encourage you! I speak hope, favor and new life to you. You are filled with God-given destiny and passion. You are everything God has called you to be! I declare this in Jesus’ name over your life today.

If you want to see your circumstances and situations change for the better, you have to start by planting good seeds through your words.

Make your confessions personal and real, and allow God’s strength and power to move; to change things for the better. Instead of saying “I’m not,” start saying “I am.” “I am blessed! I am able! I am healed! I am smart! I am gifted! I am everything God has called me to be!”

Victoria and I appreciate you and want you to know that as you intentionally bless and encourage others with your words, I know God will continue to pour out His blessings in your life.

  James 1:19-20

(19) My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (20) for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
New International Version   Change Bible versions

God wants us to be quick and ready to hear Him and His truth. As disciples of Christ, we should always remember that we are engaged in learning from God the Father and Jesus Christ, and a good attitude is paramount in getting the most out of our lessons.

Being "slow to wrath" is learning to restrain our tempers and any wrong attitudes. Those that allow anger to trouble them have the tendency to break the law rather than keep it and to contend with ministers and brethren. When one allows wrath or a poor attitude into his thinking, doubts about God's instructions creep in, and disobedience often results. The wrath of man will not produce the right course of life and love of the truth that God requires.

The person who jumps to angry conclusions is often one who hears God's Word from the Bible but finds that it does not fit with his thinking or background. For whatever reason, he initially rejects what he hears. This is a hasty attitude, and it is one God does not like.

» Proverbs 14:29: He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, but he who is impulsive [hasty of spirit, KJV] exalts folly.
» Proverbs 21:5: The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
» Proverbs 29:20: Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope of a fool than for him.
» Ecclesiastes 5:2: Do not be rash with your mouth, and let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on the earth; therefore let your words be few.

God understands the changes demanded of us by our calling. He knows our backgrounds and that we have much to learn in following His way. He knows some conflicts will catch us off guard; there will be times when it comes down to His way versus our way.

y!

Today's Bible Verse:

James 5:19–20
My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (ESV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Bring Back a Sinner

Jamesis speaking to Christians when he says "my brothers." This verse makes it plain that sometimes believers stumble and get off track. The Bible says in Hebrews 3:12-13 that we ought to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ daily so that no one turns away from the living God.

If you see a fellow Christian backsliding, or drifting away from the Lord, make every effort to reach out a hand of fellowship. And stay on the alert yourself. Each and every one of us is capable of wandering from the truth.

just received this so I want to share it

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV). Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God....... Thoughts on This Verse... We are comforted because we are heartbroken. We are comforted because we need a blessing. We are comforted because God loves us. We are comforted to comfort others. While each of the above statements is true, the last is the most crucial one. There is something about comfort that cannot be fully realized until it is shared with someone else. It is that final step in the healing process of grief, disappointment, hurt, and loss. Until we share the comfort we have received, until we pass it on to another, our comfort is weak and shallow and limited. Comfort, pass it on!

BROTHERS AND SISTERS I JUST HAD TO SHARE THIS AND ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD

TO ALL PRAYER WARRIORS AND CHILDREN OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER

        God's 26 Guards

Here's a message that will bring you chills.

Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said, 'I'll pray for them later'? Or has anyone ever called you and said, 'I need you to pray for me, I have this need?'

Read the following story that was sent to me and may it change the way that you may think about prayer, and also the way you pray.  You will be blessed by this...

A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan .

'While serving at a small field hospital in  Africa , every two weeks I travelled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days, and required camping overnight at the halfway point.

On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital.

Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured.  I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord.

I then travelled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident....

Two weeks later I repeated my journey upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines.
He said, 'Some friends and I followed you in to the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.

At this, I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite.
The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, my friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone.'

At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and
interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened.. The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story:
'On the night of your incident in  Africa , it was morning here, and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?'

The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with whom they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw.

        There were 26.

This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in behalf of those who love Him. If you ever feel such prodding to pray, go along with it, you don't know what it can mean to that person..

Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell.
I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know If we all take it to heart,
we can turn this world toward God once again.
As the above true story clearly illustrates,
'With God all things are possible'.

More importantly, how God hears and answers the prayers of the faithful.

After you read this, please pass it on and give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life... And then pass it on. Who says God does not move on the earth today?

Pass this on to those whom you want God to bless
