Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Acts 2:39 (NIV)
“The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off – for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
Since the promises of God are yea and Amen, we can claim them for our offspring yet to be born. My great-grandmother would pray for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the generations that would be born in the future. Mama’s prayers have even impacted my grandchildren.

Amen we have to pray for children because they have been impacted by demonic video games, demonic frequencies in music, and movies that have witchcraft like Harry Potter. We bind and rebuke the enemy over children teens and youth in the name of Jesus. The enemy wants to get children early because he knows their potential for the kingdom. Parents have to be about kingdom business and do not compromise about their kids attending church!
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Amen. The most impressionable ages are 8 to 18. A lot of churches don't really have youth services in place, and parents aren't ministering to and praying for their children as they should. I know in my house, we didn't have a choice about going to church, and my kids didn't either.
I remember in the last ministry I attended I helped the youth minister build his youth ministry but all of a sudden it got difficult for the youth pastor and he stopped mininstering to the teens. I saw all the children disappear from the church but it started with leadership, adult members then the children. When people are hungry and thristy for Christ and are not being fed they begin to have spiritual famine where they seek other pleasures to quench their thirst instead of the things of God! People are thristy for the truth and want to have teaching and sermons where they are life changing! Prophecy is also missing from church it makes it evident that God is real! When a child hears someone give him a prophecy regarding something in their lives it is amazing. When I was 11 someone did that for me! I was awe struck! I always wanted a relationship but I got polluted by the world so it took 20 years for me to answer the call of Christ because I was thirsty......When I came to answer the call I was turned away at 21. WHo turns someone away willing to come to God and surrender to his will. Pastors do it they suspend ministers (I do not mean admonishing I mean telling them they can not come back!) This is going on all over the world not just in the United States. As believers it is our job to enocurage people when they fall so they can come back to Christ!

I understand what you're saying. I wrote a youth and young adult weekly devotional to speak to kids on their level. It's very humorous, but thought provoking, and it always leads to a conversation about God, and having a relationship with Him. People are afraid to deal with young people, because they don't know what to say to them. It starts with remembering what it was like to be their age, and going on from there.
Woman of God I agree that adults are afraid of teenageers. When asked to take a class in Vacation Bible School I always choose teenagers because they had questions and I said whatever was said in that room remained in that room. No one would ever repeat anything regardless if they had questions and concerns about sex, homosexuality, church, HIV, bullying, drinking, and admitting to doing these things. How can we help youth if they can not be open and honest. I was a social worker 16 years and I always liked teens and young people. They had a willness to change whereas when I taught an adult class at church there was a haughtyness, pride, and some thought they had to prove they knew more than someone else causing some people not to want to speak up. Everyone is at a different level in their walk. When teaching the bible I do enjoy teaching teens. Because we can be funny, add situations, and the input an discussions are so thought provoking. I even learned from them!
