Lesson Ephesians 1:3-14
Golden Text:

Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will

Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Eph 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

GOD'S past Actions verse 1-6
God has blessed us with
1.Spiritual Blessings in Heavenly places in Christ not material Blessings.
Spiritual blessings are of the Spirit. It is theSpirit that controls man and the circumstance around him .a man may be depressed, and oppressed , but if the spirit is strong he arises and conquer his feeling, but if his spirit is weak he fall into depression

Spiritual blessing are the very opposite of temporal blessings. . They are the blessing that erase the loneliness . They are the blessing that give an over- abundance life

Spiritual blessings are superior to material blessings. They are permanent and perfect and eternal lasting forever

In order to receive Spiritual blessings you must be inChrist
To be in Christ means to believe in Jesus so much and have the Faith that He counts the Pearson to be just like Christ

Next God has chosen us to be Holy and Blameless
Notice He chosen us how? In Christ. The purpose to live "before before Him in Love"- forever & ever

The word "Holy"(hagious) means to be set apart and consecrated to God. God has chosen believers to live with Him no amount of sin will Change God's Will.

The word"blameless" (amorous ) means to be free from sin, dirt, filth without fault

Simply stayed. God is perfection . God has chosen the believer's to be perfect the believer's perfection is in Christ Jesus alone only Jesus can live a sin free life

1Th 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Verse 5-6. Adoption-Predestination -Foreordained
Second blessing. God has adopted us as children's it was predestinated the word "predestinated" means to destine or appoint to foreordained , to predetermine
Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Verse. 7. Redemption -Ransom God has deemed us and forgiven our sins the word"redemption" (apolutrosin). It conveys the ideal of deliverance or setting a man free by paying a ransom. In every cases the Man is powerless to free himself

Man has been captivated or kidnapped by serval forces
The force of sin. All men sin and cannot help but sin. Man is sold under sin (Ro.3:23
The force of corruption and death The whole creation is corrupt (Ro 8:21)
The forces of Satan All unbelievers are under the power and the influence of Saten

Verse 7. God has redeemed us and forgiven our sine
How by Christ's blood. His source grace

Verse 8. God has given us Wisdom and understanding
The word wisdom((Sophia) means seeing and knowing the truth

1Cr 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Verse 11-13 God has given us an inheritance .He has made us the heritage of God
Predestined His will

The inheritance :"That we should be,"that is , exist eternally
Why: That we should exist to His Glory, v,12
How. To receive this inheritance .
1.By hearing the Word
2.By trusting in Christ. God has sealed us with the Holy Spirit
He is the guarantee of our inheritance Why: To praise His glory Verse 14
