ARMOR OF LOVE - 4

lET'S BEGIN WITH PRAYER:

Father I lay down all my understandings and insights at your feet, and say not my will but Your will be done in my learning and growing in True Authority.  Help me to know You more as I study to show myself approved, a workman/woman having my senses excersised to know good from evil, in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Now let's begin this session with the armor breakdown: Ephesians 6:11-17

   ¹²For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

  ¹³Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand.

  ¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,

  ¹⁵and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

  ¹⁶Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

  ¹⁷And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God,

Amplified Bible (AMP) Passage Ephesians 6:11-17:
    ¹¹Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

    ¹²For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

    ¹³Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

    ¹⁴Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,

    ¹⁵And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.

    ¹⁶Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

    ¹⁷And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.

A Fight to the Finish

   ^{13 -187}Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon.

Ok, let's begin as is presented- by putting on the whole armor of God, that which He has set out for us/you. 

And let's read the breakdown:  We put on the whole armor of God: 

• so we can stand up against any and all the wiles, deceipts and plans of the devil  
• because we don't wrestle against flesh and blood - as in all/other people
• but against principalities/depotisms/powers
• against powers, master spirits
• against rulers of the darkness of this world - the world rulers of this present darkness 
•  against spiritual wickedness in high places, spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere  
•  

The armor breakdown is in order for us to STAND:

1. having your loins girded about with truth, [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins - that part of you suceptible to lies and deceits - you cover and belt them up with TRUTH
2. having on the breastplate of righteousness, having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, - [which covers and protects your heart and major organs]
3. and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
4. Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked/ Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. - this shield covers you always, all around - like a faith energy shield that surrounds you and protects you alway.
5. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God - the helmet covers your head - brain/mind/feelings/soul.  I see the helmet in the shape of the cross, shaped to fit each and every one of us, and the sword is of the Spirit of God which divides good from evil - within and outside us.

The armor of love also includes the fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5  ²²But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, ²³Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

- and all that Love is flows through all the Armor of Love.
