©Power of Worship –
Dr. S. E. Williams
In these days can you worship God in the beauty of Holiness? Can you love God in the midst of the trials and troubles that seem to be all around you:
Like a fire raging out of control
Like a raging storm at sea
Can you identify with the ‘stripes’ Jesus bore for us? Can you feel the stones ripping his flesh – do you believe that He bore these stripes so you wouldn’t have to?
What?
I know you are thinking we are to ‘bear our cross’ and die daily – yes? Yes. So how is it that it is written that Jesus paid the price for us to BE FREE? Free from what? Hmmm.
When you enter into His presence to worship Him – do you know what this means?
You know that He has made a way out of no way for you and so do you:
• Adore Him
• Love Him
• Reverence Him
• Respect Him
*Admire Him
*Worship Him
*Be Amazed with Him
* Are Devoted to Him
* Pray to Him
* Admire Him
*Look up to Him
*Hold in the Highest Regard
*Be in Awe of Him
Worshipping God is in the Holy of Holies and in the fullness of His Glory –
You are aware of the errors of your ways, and the Way He has made through forgiveness through JESUS CHRIST for you all at once – it is astonishing and breath taking – humbling and yet uplifting.
As you learn and grow more in praise and then into worship you discover an intimacy with God that is beyond words and overflows within your emotions – You can be still and yet jumping for joy - you can cry tears and yet feel the greatest peace that passes all of your understanding.
Worship is far more than a song or a feeling – It is the actual time of being within God and with God, one with Him and living and moving and having your being with Him.
Can God lift you higher? Oh yes! Can God make a way out of the no ways of your life? Oh Yes! Does God care about the circumstances you may be stuck in, only if you ask Him, otherwise God is focused on you and the desires you have in your heart for Him.
The power of Worship brings you to a place of newness. A place of authority. A place where you can reach out and touch the hem of the Lord’s robe and He will lift you up and carry you to the place of peace, of abundance Grace and Mercy – and the place where all you ask is given.
Intercession must have as a key part of it, true/real worship – and then as you worship really and truly, you walk with Christ and are one with Him and whatever you ask for, you receive – in Him, first and then in the world. I would re-read this paragraph and write notes on what you 'get' as the Spirit is leading you. :-)
So intercession without the above described 'knowing in worship' and being one with the Lord is well just basic, and in need of more.
So why not take time to study, to cry out to God to reveal to you the truth for you of ‘worship’. As you do, I guarantee you will come to know the essence of what Esther discovered – the power of influence is the power of intercession – and the way to these is WORSHIP!
Let’s look at the scriptures that gives us an insight of what I have presented here, and again I recommend you take notes and do a word study for yourself (Strong's Concordance).
Jesus says in John 15:1-13
1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does
bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in
the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that
bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the
branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be
done for you.
8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my
Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
11 These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be
full.
12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
