PSALMS 1 -> True Authority

God is true and you can find His promises for us throughout the written word - the bible - let's check out the Psalms for God's Word on our true authority:

Psalm 1:1-3 KJV

   ¹Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

   ²But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

   ³And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

 AMP Version 1-3

 ¹BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

    ²But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

    ³And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

MESSAGE Version 1-3

So because God blesses us and likes us (as we we are like trees planted by living water) and we live, move and have our being in Him - gaining wisdom, insight, truth and light/life from the living waters - and this is delighting in God, we are authorized to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit in our seasons of live here on earth. Hmmmm - yes pray on this and research what has been presented.

Next, Psalm 2:7-8 KJV HS

 ⁷I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

 ⁸Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

AMPLIFIED Version 7-8

⁷I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You.

    ⁸Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.

The Message Version -7-8

Let me tell you what God said next.
   He said, "You're my son,
   And today is your birthday.
   What do you want? Name it:
   Nations as a present? continents as a prize?

So, God's decree is that we are His child, God declare's He has begotten us, and then says ASK - and he will GIVE. This can mean more than 'our needs' - more as in mature speaking - to mountains - and they are removed, cast into the sea of forgettfulness.  Hmmmm!!!
