THE CROSS - TRUE AUTHORITY - 3

Let's look closer at Galatians 2:20 KJV

  ²⁰I am crucified with Christ:

• nevertheless I live;
• yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
• and the life which I now live in the flesh
• I live by the faith of the Son of God,
• who loved me, and gave himself for me.

AMP VERSION:

²⁰I have been crucified with Christ

• [in Him I have shared His crucifixion];
• it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me;
• and the life I now live in the body
• I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God,
• Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

This is our status, now let's look at the 'tool' that will be used to train us in true humility: Picking up our cross and daily following Jesus - Romans 8:

 ³For what the law could not do,

   in that it was weak through the flesh,

   God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh,

   and for sin, 

  condemned sin in the flesh:

   ⁴That the righteousness of the law

     might be fulfilled in us,

     who walk not after the flesh,

     but after the Spirit.

Dying daily is the tool of applying the cross and at the same time this is applying the righteousness of the law so it is daily fulfilled in us. 

We die to self paradigms daily, as we walk after the leading of the Holy Spirit.  

As we die to self daily, the greater one within us is manifested in us and through us as the Glory of God.

Let's pray:  Father, God, thank you for your will being done in our lives - please enlighten the eyes of our understanding - so that we will come to KNOW the truth - Jesus stated I am the Truth - as we come to know Jesus and we are set free - thank you.  Keep us in your peace that passes all understanding - thank you, in Jesus' name.  Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen!!!
