*Understanding God`s Love....
*(By: Vicky Hayes)
*God`s love is compassionate, mefciful, full of kindness, forgiving and much, much more...His Love is steadfast, His lovingkindness will never fail, ....
"IT HAS NO BEGINNING AND NO END". Clearly that knowledge is supposed to make a difference. One of the ironic truths of Christiaan life, howwever it is that often we who make the name of Jesus have trouble comprehanding the Love of God...disappointments, heardships, suffering and heartaches can make the Love of God seem exclusive and abstract. Such times move us to aks the deeply personal questions..."Does God Love Me"?
We might ask such a question for many reasons, but three often seem to work together; *******************************************************************************************
* We feel guilty - Mabye He is angry at me ?
* We are suffering - This is Love? How can this be love ?
* We belive in God`s sovereighnty - He is responsible!!!
******************************************************************************************************************
Can we know the love of God under such circumstances in which God`s people learn that He loves them...Romans 5:1-11- Explores and reconciles the three ideas above our guilt, our sufferings and the sovereighn Love of God...If our hearts are ever going to understand the depth of God`s love, must start seeing that love I the light of passages like Romans chapter 5.
God`s love for us does not free us from troubles now; in fact, "It Gives us those troubles" so our faith can be shaken and tested. Such testing is a good and loving thing, becouse it ultimately forces our faith into open, where it can grow and encourage us.
This is the Love of God pictures in the Bible....Although God in His Kindness may give you (us) many earthly blessings, He shows His love to us most clearly by giving us mercy, hope and sanctifying troubles....
Clearly, then, if we are going to understand God`s Love for us, we must overcome our own faulty intuitions......We must see our presant circumstances in the context of God`s larger purposess...to be continues....
