ALWAYS PRAY

Christians are bouncing off the walls about the Supreme Courts ruling on Gay Marriage, and everyone is suddenly calling for the church to PRAY!!!! Really??? OK why does it take events like this to make Christians PRAY? The same thing with the 9 people killed in Church, when it happened the alarm was sounded in our churches…WE MUST PRAY!!!! Really??? Why don’t we pray ALWAYS about our nation? Gay activity isn’t NEW! Racism definitely isn’t NEW! Here are 4 reasons why the church has lost it’s savor (saltiness = influence)

1. We love filthy lucre (money) more than we love The Lord! We will compromise the truth just so we don’t offend people that “sow” into our ministries. Well how is that working out for you Pastors and celebrity ministers? Whenever Oprah interviews a famous preacher the first thing she ask is where do they stand on homosexuality….and they all CHOKE! (Osteen, Jakes,). I love the homosexual community enough to tell them Jesus loves them and wants them delivered from those desires, but I am not just gonna deal with them (I feel we often attack them without compassion) God wants ALL of SAVED, and His shed blood can do the deal.

2. Too much hypocrisy in the church, while we attack homosexuals we forget about the adultery and fornication in the CHURCH and YES the PULPITS!!! Anytime Eddie Long can still have a LARGE congregation speaks to the lukewarmness in our churches. We attack Catholics but ALL churches have sexual immorality in them. We ALL have sinned and come short of God’s glory, and repentance has to START with the HOUSE OF GOD!

3. We STOPPED preaching the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ (GRACE), we preach prosperity, politics, and personal agendas that have nothing to do with God’s agenda….lost souls! The Gospel (death-burial-resurrection) is the message that CAN change our lives. I was a drunk weed smoker with a violent temper, and the Gospel changed my life. Am I perfect? Heck no! I still have faults and need to pray about my issues. But my relationship with Jesus has made me a better man.

4. We don’t intercede on a CONSISTANT BASIS!!!! Politicians are NOT our answer! The power of prayer is. Paul challenged us to pray without ceasing and to pray for those that have RULE over us (President, Congress, Senate, and Supreme Court)
