BABYLON, the MYSTERY, Verse to Verse
Hello Everyone, This is very important for you to understand. i will try to say the minimum, because you have to understand this for yourself...it doesn't say MYSTERY, for nothing, and may i add, the most HIGH doesn't exaggerate. i will put around 'key', 'repeated' and 'important' words and 'my own, when needed, after intro.' [these are added words, in the k.j.v., but not all the verses are in these, as of yet.]
You can easily and you should follow along in your personal Writtings, for context and verification. This is just a highlighting of the meat of this matter. By all means read along and this is easy, because its only a few chapters, Rev.17:-18:24, Jer.50:-51:64, Isa.13:, 21:1-10, & 47:. There is alittle more, but these should be enough, for now. May the LORD be with you.
Starting with the most HIGH'S commands to,
Rev.18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her 'plagues'.
Jer.50:13 Because of the 'wrath' of the LORD it 'shall not be inhabited', but it shall be 'wholly' 'desolate': every one that goeth by Babylon shall be 'astonished', and 'hiss' at all her 'plagues'.
Jer. 51:37 And Babylon shall become 'heaps', a 'dwellingplace for dragons', an 'astonishment', and an 'hissing','without an inhabitant'.

Jer.50:40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour [cities] thereof, saith the LORD; [so] 'shall no man abide there', neither shall any son of 'man dwell therein'.
' When it says, this latter day Babylon will never be inhabited, again, you know its not talking about ancient Babylon, which was just restored, 2011, and the land, Iraq, has been dwelt in, all along. Heres more, take note that these next verses say this, twice.'
Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the 'habitation of devils', and the 'hold of every foul spirit', and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
R.14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Isa.21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, [with] a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Jer.51:8 Babylon is suddenly 'fallen and destroyed': howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
Jer.50:15 Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it [is] the 'vengeance' of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.

Jer.50:28 The voice of them that 'flee' and 'escape' out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the 'vengeance' of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.

Jer.51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquities; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

51:11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to 'destroy' it; because it is the 'vengeance' of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

Jer.51:36 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.

2 Thes.1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Isa.34:8 For [it is] the day of the LORD'S vengeance, [and] the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

:9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.

:10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the 'smoke' thereof shall go up for ever': from generation to generation it shall lie waste; 'none shall pass through it' for ever and ever.

Isa. 47:3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy 'shame' shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet [thee as] a man.

' As you can see, the words and phraises repete themselves and actually guiding this study. You have seen a few, Plagues, Without an inhabitant, Fallen, Vengeance and you'll see these again, as we go. Now we'll just go with SHAME '

Jer.50:12 Your 'mother' shall be sore 'confounded'; she that 'bare' you shall be 'ashamed': behold, the 'hindermost' of the 'nations' shall be a 'wilderness', a 'dry land', and a desert. 'Hindermost means, Our time'

Jer.51:41 How is Sheshach taken ! and how is the 'praise of the whole earth' 'surprised'! how is Babylon become an 'astonishment' among the 'nations'! 'Sheshach, means, is another name for Babylon'

Rev.18:7 How much she hath 'glorified herself,' and lived 'deliciously', so much 'torment' and 'sorrow' give her: for she saith in her heart, I 'sit a 'queen', and am no 'widow', and see no sorrow.

:8 Therefore shall her 'plagues' come in 'one day', death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be 'utterly burned' with fire': for strong [is] the Lord God who judgeth her.

:9 And the 'kings' of the earth, who have 'committed fornication' and lived 'deliciously' with her, shall 'bewail' her, and 'lament' for her, when they shall see the 'smoke' of her burning',

:10 Standing 'afar off ' for the fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas,alas' that 'great'city' Babylon, that mighty city ! for in 'one hour' is thy judgment come.

:11 And the 'merchants' of the earth shall 'weep' and 'mourn' over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
Rev.18:15 The 'merchants' of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand 'afar
off ' for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

:16 And saying, Alas,alas, that great city, that was 'clothed in fine linen',and 'purple', and 'scarlet', and and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls ! 'Rev.17:4,later'

:17 For in 'one hour' so 'great riches' is 'come to nought'. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and 'as many as trade by sea, 'stood afar off,'

:18 And 'cried' when they saw the 'smoke' of her 'burning', saying, What city is like unto this 'great city'!

:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and 'cried', 'weeping' and 'wailing', saying, 'Alas,alas', that 'great city', wherein were 'made rich' all that had 'ships'...by reason of her 'costliness'! for in 'one hour' is she made desolate.

:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast [it] into the sea ,saying, Thus with 'violence' shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found 'no more at all'.

***18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine 'no more at all' in thee; and 'the voice of the bridegroom' and of 'the bride' shall be 'heard no more at all' in thee: for thy 'merchants' were the 'great men of the earth'; for by thy 'sorceries' were 'all' nations deceived.

Isa.47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a 'moment' in 'one day', the loss of children, and 'widowhood': they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the 'multitude' of thy 'sorceries', and for the 'great abundance' of thine 'enchantments'.
:10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and 'thou hast said in thine heart', 'I am',and none else beside me'.

:11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off : and desolation shall come upon thee 'suddenly', which 'thou shalt not know'.

:12 Stand now with thine 'enchantments',and with the 'multitude of thy sorceries', wherein thou hast 'laboured' from thy 'youth'; if so be thou shalt be able to 'profit', if so be thou mayest prevail.

:13 Thou art wearied in the 'multitude of thy counsels'. Let now the 'astrologers', the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from [these things] that shall come upon thee.

:14 Behold, they shall be as stubble ; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the 'power of the flame': [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.

:15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast 'laboured', even thy 'merchants',from thy 'youth': they shall wander 'every one to his quarter'; none shall save thee.
Rev.17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a 'golden cup' in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Jer.51:7 Babylon [hath been] a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Rev.18:3 For 'all nations' have drunk of the 'wine' of the wrath of her 'fornication', and the 'kings' of the earth have 'committed fornication' with her, and the 'merchants' of the earth are 'waxed rich' through the 'abundance of her 'delicacies'.

Jer.50:16 Cut off the 'sower' from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for 'fear of the oppressing sword' 'they shall turn every one to his people', and thy shall 'flee' 'every one to his own land'. 'There is a specific study on the fleeing and to 'Come Out Babylon' here on the truth.'

50:22 A 'sound of battle' is in the land, and of great destruction.

:23 How is the 'hammer' of the 'whole earth' cut asunder and 'broken'! how is Babylon
become a 'desolation' among the 'nations'!

:24 I have laid a 'snare' for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou 'wast not aware': thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.

:31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most 'proud', saith the Lord God of hosts: for thy 'day' is come, the time [that] I will visit thee.

:35 A sword [is] upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

:36 A sword is upon the liars; and they shall 'dote': a sword [is] upon her mighty men; and they shall be 'dismayed'.

:37 A sword [is] upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon 'all the 'mingled' people' that are 'in the midst of her'; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her 'treasures'; and they shall be robbed.

:38 A 'drought' is upon her 'waters'; and they shall be 'dried up': for it is the 'land of graven images', and they are mad upon [their] idols.

:39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell [there], and the owls shall dwell therein:and it shall be 'no more inhabited for ever'; neither shall it be 'dwelt in from generation to generation'.

This goes on and on. Babylon obviously, 'falls' in the last days. This is definitly not talking about ancient Babylon, thus this '8th beast' is renamed Babylon, for a few reasons. One being, the tower to heaven, Babel/ Babylon / Confusion. Now you should be able to count the number of the beast in, Rev.17:10, remembering that Babylon has not 'fallen'.

Rev.17:10 And there are seven kings: 'five are fallen', 'and one is', [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Rev.17:10 And there are 'seven kings': 'five' are 'fallen', ('Medo-Persian Empire, = 1 + 4 = Greece, = 5.') 'and one is, ('the Roman Empire' at that time') and 'the other' is 'not yet come'; and 'when he cometh', he must continue a 'short space'.

Rev.17:11 And the beast that 'was', and 'is not', even he is the eighth, and is 'of ' the seven', and 'goeth into perdition'.

:11 And the beast that was, (' ancient Babylon'), and is not, (' neither Babylons are in 'play' now, at the time of the prophecy, as rome is the 'one that is') the other has not yet come,at this time' " even he is the 'eighth', and is 'of ' the seven,..

'add it up, 1=Babylon, (but not 'fallen') ; 1=Medo-Persian ; 4=Greece ; 1=Rome, = 7, kings / nations / superpowers...and not counting Babylon in, 5 fallen, also adds up. The 8TH Head/Beast /nation / superpower, being renamed Babylon, being 'of ' the seven and this 8TH Beast has its origens / source / mother 'of '. Being alot like rome and its union to the r.c.c. One more to verify this.'

Rev.17:8" The beast that thou sawest 'was', and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and 'go into perdition': and they that dwell on the earth shall 'wonder', whose names were 'not written in the book of life' from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Rev.17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the 'wilderness': and I saw a 'woman' 'sit upon' a scarlet coloured 'beast', full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Isa.14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

:17 That made the world as a 'wilderness', and destroyed the cites thereof;.?

Rev.12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and satan, which 'deceiveth the 'whole' world': he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

12:5 And 'she' brought forth a 'man child', who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and 'her' 'child' was 'caught up unto God', and 'to his throne'.

:6 And the 'woman' 'fled into the 'wilderness', where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there 'a thousand two hundred and threescore days'.

12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might 'fly' into the 'wilderness', into her place, where she is nourished for a 'time', and 'times', and 'half a time', from the face of the serpent.

Dan.7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be 'given into his hand' until a 'time' and 'times' and the 'dividing of time'. 'dividing = half '

:26 But the 'judgement' shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to 'consume' and to 'destroy' it unto the end.

Dan.12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a 'time', 'times', and an 'half'; and when 'he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people', all these [things] shall be finished.

2 Thes.2:9) Even him, whose coming is after the 'working of satan' with all power and signs and 'lying wonders',

:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

:2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2 Tim.4:3 For the time will come when they shall not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto 'fables'.

Rev.6:2 And I saw, and behold a 'white' horse: and he that sat on him had a 'bow'; and a 'crown' was given unto him: and he went forth 'conquering', and to 'conquer'. '= to subdue'

WHITE, 2 Cor.11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

:14 And no 'marvel'; for 'satan himself is transformed' into an 'angel of light'.

:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the 'ministers of righteousness';..

BOW, Ps.11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
Ps.78:57 But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.
CROWN, Rev.1:14 His ('YESHUA's') head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire;

Lk.4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Rev.17:5 And upon her forhead was a name written, MYSTERY , BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

:6 And I saw the 'woman' 'drunken' with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I 'wondered' with great admiration'.

:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou 'marvel'? I will tell thee the 'mystery' of the 'woman', 'and' of the 'beast' that 'carrieth her', which hath the 'seven heads and ten horns'.

17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the 'whore sitteth', are peoples, and multitudes, and 'nations', and tongues.

:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the 'whore',and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and 'burn' her with 'fire'.

:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that 'great city', which 'reigneth over the kings of the earth'.

R.19:2 For true and righteous [are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her 'smoke' rose up for ever and ever.

'these things go on and on. most of the deception, spiritual babylon, is in the Second Coming Prophecy, here on the truthofGod. These things go into alot of details and there is much, much more if you just read the chapters that all tie into this, Rev.17:, 18:, ; Jer.50:, 51:, ; Isa.13:,& spinkled throughout, 14:, & 21:1-10 and 47:, sprinkled throughout 48:, etc.
