Unity- Is one simple word that means everything. You either have it or you don’t. Unity means – “as one”. To define unity, would be to have many people within one body or bodies working together in one solid effort. All focused on the same task functioning as one mind and in one accord. If there is found simply one link within the chain of unity broken: there is division. Where there is division there is also confusion, distraction, and chaos to which destruction could be close at hand.
One truth- How many real truths are there in the world? If we stop and take a simple look at the world around us, there seems to be many truths. But plain and simple intelligence tells us that there can only be one real truth to any matter. Yes, there may be different thoughts and ideas on a given subject, but only one can be the solid real truth. But what happens when man begins to argue and separate about these thoughts and ideas? What happens when the body of Christ (church) does it also? What happens when many bodies called by the same name (Christians) begin teaching their interpretation of the truth, and it differs from the others within the same faith? One word defines it – division.
Have you ever wonder where the great miracles of God have gone. Yes I know there are the miracles of salvation, and deliverance. But when was the last time you saw the dead raised, the storms calmed by a simple word, a new convert fully delivered from the demons that plague their minds and body. When was the last time you were used in this area? Jesus said: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12. Jesus said “greater things” will be done by those that believe, than had been done before. When was the last time we saw the power of God in our churches greater or even equal to that of the works of Jesus Christ.
God is about to do a new thing in body of Christ. I believe this “new thing” could very well be what is said in Ephesians 4:13 “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The unity of the faith is the answer the church has been asking about for years. To bring back the power once found within the church and God’s people. The body of Christ is separated and divided, and until mankind can lower its titles of denominations and differing teachings than sadly that division will stay and the power that would be, will not be. The Word of God says in Ephesians 4:5 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Understand that it says one faith, one spirit, one Lord, meaning also one truth. Many have said that this is a good point, but truth is truth, and this can not go on. Soon I believe we will know God’s true people because he is stirring a gathering, a gathering of his true saints. One body that will stand in accord and proclaim that one truth. That one body that the Word says will be his pure and spotless church. Are you going to be part of this body?
