"Looking unto Jesus the author and
of our faith "
Hebrews 12:2
Who does not remember the time when Peter walked on water while watching the Lord? Sometimes it seems that we only think of Peter sinking in the waves.
What a great lesson! The shift our gaze to another place other than Christ, we mean the decline or collapse instantly.
How often does this happen to us within the church. Our eyes are on the brothers, as we would like to see in them perfection and sinlessness. We are believers paradigms or archetypes of perfect, idealized and exemplary. We believe that there is no error in them even knowing that it is not. Sure, and once we discover our own errors and blank, think again and return our gaze to the One who does not disappoint or disillusion, to Christ our Lord and Savior.
Not for nothing was said Jeremiah cursed the man who puts his trust in man (Jeremiah 17:5)
If we put the "Lupa" in us, only to find blemishes and nudity, but if we place in Christ, only see perfection and completion.
Beloved, we run the rest of the race that we have our eyes on Jesus, because he never let us down.
