(Meditation: Mark 1:16-18)
God, I pray for all who hear Jesus' call, "Come, follow Me, and I will make You fishers of men." Our culture measures Christians by whether we are active in church and try to lead a decent life. But You call us to follow You beyond that, to love You with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind. You call us to trust You completely, to obey You fully. You call us to love our neighbors as ourselves, to serve others at work and beyond, and to share and spread the gospel. Lord, give us strength to follow You and to be Your disciples today . . . and one day at a time.
Amen.
