Not Ignorant of Satan’s Devices
When you have your heart and mind set on God, Satan forms strategies on how to get you off focused. He knows that you are dangerous as long as you are focused on God and are moving forward in Him. So he does things to try to get you distracted, get you offended, and to get you discouraged. He will send negative people, unfavorable situations, will cause confusion and delay, and will stir up drama all around you. It’s a trick. The tools he uses are all with the goal of getting you to doubt God’s character and ability, to get you to question God’s love for you, and to doubt what He has said in His Word. Don’t you fall for it! Allow the Spirit of God to help you stay sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8,9). Keep the devil out and keep the love of God in when it comes to your life, your home and your relationships. Be determined, be determined, be determined to keep yourself in the love of God (Jude 1:21). When negative situations arise, let God help you deal with it in love. When negative people come your way, let God give you wisdom on how to confront them in love. When old hurts and fears come back to haunt you, don’t let it distract you or depress you. Rebuke the spirit of oppression and depression and move forward. Submit to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). When thinking about your future causes you to feel overwhelmed, get in God’s presence and let Him remind you of His grace. You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Keep moving forward! Continue to grow in your relationship with God, and keep doing what He tells you to do in His Word.
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV)
Prayer: Father, with all of the distractions around me and different things coming my way, I pray You help me to keep my mind stayed on you and on Your word. With your help I will not be ignorant of the enemy’s tricks and schemes. I declare I see him a mile away and rebuke him. I submit to You and I resist him and he flees. I thank You for helping me to stay sober and vigilant. In Jesus’ name, Amen
